I don't know that that cat really had my best interests at heart. Cool loop mechanic for a puzzle platformer. Liked how I got instant feedback and could rewind to get out of trouble. Nice work, thanks for sharing! :D
I'm forced by Sarcasticat to say that he's an okay cat and has no ill intent like taking over the world! He's cool (mikey whishers softly .... please send help...).
Good to hear he's cool! I stopped reading there! :o
Pretty cool concept. It made me think more about which blocks I wanted to use per loop, especially in the levels with a higher number of loops and the ones with layers (ie. multiple "floors"). I found some of the later stages a bit easier than their earlier ones so their order could be tweaked a bit. In one of the later levels, there was a platform you jumped up to from the loop door. I had to be careful not to walk back a loop trying to get onto that platform. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience. Great work!
Thanks! And you are correct the later levels are in need some tweaking. Thank you for playing!
I was oging to note that this game is really cool for a jam submission and then I looked in the comments and saw that it's also your first complete game! That's incredible! You will do great things brother! You mentioned unforeseen troubles with menus and HUD and I'll say that whatever troubles you had you must have overcome them cause it all looks great!
My eyes were crying about the pink tiles (`X But other than that it was great! Nice job!
Also I'd appreciate feedback on my submission if you get a chance!
thank you so much. The pink is me trying to work with weird colors. A while back i noticed that the palettes i used got more desaturated over time. So i forced myself to grab a couple of strange bright colors and roll with them. They are very bright i agree. Thanks again you are too kind.
I think this is my favorite implementation of the interpretation of repeating the same room multiple times (I’m glad you didn’t go the route of jumping over your own dead bodies). Level design was smart and the loops actually felt different enough to justify their existence. Mechanics felt sufficient and kept things interesting. Couple of thoughts I have in no particular order:
I also thought it was clever to let the player reset/undo the level loop by loop. It certainly would have also been good to have a global reset button to get back to loop one though. Overall, I had fun and this is quite impressive for a first jam. Nicely done!
very good observations and something i will take to heart. Eventually i want the player to be able to also loop to previous rooms. There was no real reason for it now. I also grossly underestimated the time i needed and trouble i'd have with ui, a level select of some sorts maybe.... Thank you, it's because if these comments i can further work on this idea!
This is your first game? This is one of the more clever ideas I've come across, great job! A truly unique puzzle platformer.
First gamejam and first finished completish.... game! I have been learning for a while but mostly tutorials and a couple of small project to try and make a game but that never got anywhere. Last year i switched to Godot and that helped to build confidence and suited me much more than Unity, i saw the gamejam pop-up had this idea in like 5 minutes and ... here we are! Thank you for playing, great to hear you enjoyed it!
So impressive for your first game, I enjoyed it, great art style too!
Thank you!
This is a really creative idea, and good execution. the loop numbers per level felt fair which is really impressive for a first game.
I loved that going back to the entrance made you go back one loop cool attention to detail.
thank you! I have two kids (9 and 13) who playtested my game. If they could beat the level i knew i was somewhere in the ballpark of where it needed to be. Needs a lot of tweaking still i think.
Hey fellow jammer! First off, I love the mechanics and needing to be really careful on what block you are stepping on, especially on the later levels. For me, enjoyment takes the cake here in terms of the 5 criteria. There are two notable points I got really frustrated with, one is the lack of reset, forcing me to go through all the levels again once I softlock myself because I ran out of blocks, it is increasing frustrating when you get to the later levels and have to play the entire game again to get back to where you were. The other thing is your font in the level scene. That font does not look good when zoomed in/expanded that much.
Ending with a positive note, it is rather impressive that you managed all the assets alone! That's very impressive for a first-time jammer !!

This feedback is great and totally valid in my opinion! Thanks for taking the time to tell me what you think.
PS... i if you lock yourself and do not have enough blocks ... try taking the door to the left from where you entered the level. The youtube video also show that mechanic on the games page... i think you might have missed that.
The idea is good and it has been implemented decently.
Since its a platformer you should have a rather simple or linear difficulty curve where as this game's difficulty curve is quite random at times. Make the earlier levels the baseline for the difficulty of the latter ones.
The pixel art and animations have been done really nicely.
I really love the cats and their comments each run. if the player is stuck or smt you can have the cats give the player some hints.
The game is in good need of a restart or previous loop button as rn to restart you have to leave the level and it's not really explained. The levels are well designed just need to have a simpler difficulty especially for this jam.
And as you yourself would already know, MUSIC. The game needs music and SFX. Also implement different level mechanics/objects if possible to make progression more interesting.
All in all it's a creative design and could be better with some Soundtracks/SFX and Level design improvements(In terms of difficulty and level mechanics)
Also Apologies if I may sound harsh. This IS a good game, I just wanted to give some improvement suggestions I though would work.
Awesome feedback and solid feedback, didn't sound harsh at all but very detailed and thorough, thank you so much!
Needing to figure out which platforms to preserve for subsequent loops is an interesting mechanic! I also like the sprite work, great job making that and everything else by yourself, that’s quite impressive!
This is a really cool game. Especially for your first one. I'm impressed. I enjoyed the puzzle platforming a lot. Especially having to be careful which blocks I use to set up for future loops. Well done!
Thank you! The basic idea i had really fast so that gave me some bonus time. I've been trying for long time to learn how to make a game and things just all came together.
Pretty good game! I liked the mechanics with the loops, I have a question: it was intended the blocks with an arrow being infinite if exists a block below of it? I often used that as security platforms, which turned the game much easier. Another question: after de final room, the screen got entirely gray, have I beated the game? Well, have this said, you made an excellent job, the level design is real good and there was some levels pretty challenging, the sounds and visuals are good too, congrats for your game, excellent job fitting the theme, btw
yes the end is bugged unfortunately, but you beat it , well done! You are also right about the falling block mechanic. It's like sarcasticat said "falling blocks never fade!". Thanks for playing and giving me this feedback!
I knew the cat said something about it haha. There was only 1 dialogue I couldn't read because I walked too fast, and that dialogue was exactly this one lol.
lol that's funny, you figured it out though, good on you!
Very cool idea, i liked it!
Thank you!
This is very creative! I loved having to balance getting through the level easily with leaving enough platforms for myself in future loops. The levels with high loop counts were a very good challenge, and when I got myself stuck, I was happy to just go back a few loops and see what I could do differently. It would be really cool to see this concept expanded upon!
I'm happy to say i am going to continue development on this game. Short term that'll mean cleaning up the itch.io version and expand on the later levels. Long term i have much bigger plans, maybe even a steam release .... follow in Mark's footsteps ... who knows. Thank you for taking the time to play my little game AND to write me some feedback, i appreciate that a lot! BTW LOVED your game! Very very cool and genuinely funny.
Loved the puzzle elements. Spend a while playing it :) Keep it up!
Thank you that's so cool to hear! I actually never really liked puzzle platformers, thus my surprise i made this ... thank you for your feedback!
This was fun! I liked the different platform types, especially the dropping ones since I could be smart about them and decide when to drop them as a safety spot. One level maybe 6 or 7 I kept accidentally going backwards through the loop since I was trying to jump up to the platform above me, so it would reset my progress. Maybe you could give the player a bit more room there. But I really like the going backwards through the loop mechanic, makes for more convenient gameplay! Congrats on your submission!
thank you, i understand exactly what spot you mean. The later levels are, because of obvious time restraints, a bit less polished than i'd want them to be. Thank you for this feedback, i've put it on my "to fix" list!
The concept is very, very cool. Not very, very difficult, but there's a way to make it into a full game! I love the cats! It's so cute! Congratulations on doing all this in such a short time.
Nice art!
Thanks!
Being resourceful with using the platforms was very fun. I got to rooms 5,6,7 and suddenly they got very easy so I kind of lost interest there and ended the game, but you could really flesh out this concept. Fit the theme very well.
yes that's very true. I had less time to playtest them and tweak them as much as the first few. I'm gonna work further on this game so thank you for your feedback!
Loved the concept, the animations and the kitties! I would have loved to be able to move with Q & D / A & D too cause it took me 20s to try with the arrows hahaha.
Well done!!
(Mikey facepalms himself) .... dude, thank you for that ... i never thought of that but makes total sense and i could have added that in like 1 minute. My kids are my playtesters and they don't use keyboards. There is controller support if you have one, should support most. Thank you for your feedback!
Hahaha no worries, we're here to learn!! I'm happy that my feedback helped!
