I agree that the stun duration should’ve been much longer.. we just didn’t have time to play test at all. However, it was a deliberate decision to let the eye drag you past the checkpoints though. It just happened that the eye was poorly balanced so it felt very punishing. All your other points are pretty valid and we’ll keep them in mind for next time. Thanks for the kind words and for taking the time to finish the game and write such a detailed review. Truly appreciate it :)

Yeah indeed, the snappiness required a high gravity but then when you fall there’s no way to recover. We countered this by having a buffer of few seconds where gravity is lowered but only when you release onto an upward arc. So it kind of helped if you kept shooting upwards but indeed it’s a hard balance to strike. Glad you enjoyed anyhow. Thanks for the review!
Just tried out your game and its really quite unique. Here’s ours if you’d like to try: https://20akshay00.itch.io/repressed
What an interesting take on a tetris variant. I’m not sold on whether strategizing is really beneficial over just blindly completing fully packed rows like in normal tetris, but I’d have to spend more time to decide. I still find it very intriguing. The game is also very polished. I think the only downside is that the link to the theme is a bit tenuous but thats okay. Nice job.
I quite like the premise. It reminded me a lot of the final sequence in Shrink Ray island in Poptropica. I do think that it makes a bit more sense to hide behind the objects rather than in their shadows, similar to the Poptropica game play. I also felt the level was a bit short but then noticed that you did this all on your own, so its actually quite well made considering that. Great job!
Yeah, I agree. The problem was that you need the high gravity to make the game feel snappy and fast paced, but if you fall, you drop like a rock. The compromise I made was to reduce the gravity for a few seconds if you launch yourself upwards so that there’s a window to aim. Not the perfect solution certainly. Thanks for playing.
Incredible quality for just a week! The polish and visual presentation is ridiculously good. I do feel the game play dropped the ball a bit though. It was nice that you had so many mechanics, but just as the difficulty ramped up as you started exploring puzzles with them, the game ends :( I think maybe focusing on just one or two main mechanics (like the launching platforms and the various critters) might have taken this to another level. Still awesome job though, I had fun. The voice acting was great.
Here’s me chillin with my boys.
Concept is very unique and visuals are great, but I feel the control scheme was not a great choice. It should be way easier to switch between bells, but the numbers keys are so inaccessible. Maybe the scroll wheel as an alternative would’ve been much better, or even just Q/E to cycle through them. The movement also felt a tad too sluggish. I do wish this wasn’t the case because otherwise I thought the game was quite interesting!
The rag doll physics is charming but I still have no idea how the jump works XD I just wiggled around until it climbed up somehow. My only gripes are that the game lacks a bit of polish and the soundtrack gets a bit repetitive over time. Its still quite remarkable that you did all this by yourself though, so great job!
Nice take on a platformer. I agree with the other person that it was a bit confusing in the initial levels whether the game was actually 3D or 2D. I thought it was a 2D game but you could morph the level by shifting the perspective. Once I understood the premise though, it was quite fun. Great job with the overall presentation!
Looks and feels great to play. It does lack a bit of variety though. I also felt visually there was a bit too much going on with the background stars and surrounding barrier in addition to all the asteroids. It would also be good to indicate when we take damage more clearly. In any case, great job finishing a game solo!
Cute platformer. Here’s some feedback;
- The dithering and the floating particles could’ve been toned down a bit as they hurt to look at for a long time
- The audio needed some variation. The jump SFX got a bit grating over time. Despite these grievances, I still played through the whole thing so I guess the game does have charm!
The visuals and sound design are amazing. The idea is really unique too. I found the game play a bit hard to wrap my head around though. It was hard to tell why I was losing and how to do better. Maybe figuring that out is really the whole game, but it wasn’t my cup of tea. Otherwise its a beautifully crafted experience though!
Its crazy how many mechanics you managed to squeeze into one game. The puzzles are well designed and really fun to crack. I think the only one I have a gripe with is 7.2 where the block merging mechanic felt out of place. Also I suppose the connection to the theme is a bit weak. Regardless, I had a ton of fun!

I really enjoyed the atmosphere. My only complaint is that it felt a bit too short and I’d have loved to see more puzzles. Great job!
