Hey jammers!
We have to change the venue because of scheduling conflicts. The jam will now take place in Marshall D'Avrey Hall, room 236 at UNB.

There will be directional signs both at SprigLab and  the front entrance. We look forward to see yall tonight !

Hey fellow jammer, I liked the mechanics and love the line "press shift to suicide ". Hoever, I have some problem with the controlling scheme, press N to cointinu is rather unconventional and I would much prefer using shift instead. I also can't go left for some reason so I am stuck on level 5(I think). Overall, a pretty fun game to play, GGs!

Nice concept, as a train nerd, I can't help but notice the train that takes you halfway across the world from Singapore to Toronto... Anyway, I love the mundaness of the game and the asestics blends in pretty well, pixelating the background is a nice touch that really adds to the aestics, GGs!

Hey fellow jammer, I played your game for about 10 minutes before I gave up on getting to the end (If there is one). The game is pretty simple, and there aren't any noticeable bugs, which is nice. That being said, the game is a bit too repetitive to the point where it became very boring as there are barely any variations of the base level. To end on a positive note, the character look nice and goofy , GGs !

Hey fellow jammer! I enjoyed playing the game.... I LOVE TRAINS (if you haven't figured that out by my username). I like how simple the mechanics are and how complex the puzzle is. One big problem I encountered was impossible levels. Once I hit the fifth or sixth level, the game starts giving me impossible levels, as there are not enough passengers in the stations at all to complete the level, even with multiple nice view tickets. That ruined the experience quite a bit for me as the game became very RNG-heavy.

Despite that, I still love this game, and it is rather impressive how you piece it together in 4 days! This game looks almost like a complete game instead of a game jam game... GGs!

Hey fellow jammer, the game is very basic but it was pretty fun to play with. I don't think you needed to use the loop as the collectable because the mechanics itself is already a loop. A missed oppuntity to put it some like rocket fuel or upgrade instead. there are also some problem with the speed item collision as I wasn't able to pick it up at all.

Overall, a nice, simple and straightforward game, GGs :D

(1 edit)

Hey fellow jammer, I relate to the character, working at a boring shop and doing the same things over and over... almost like a loop. That being said, I noticed area that you could improve in. First, some customers just straight up leave after getting their ice cream without paying. Second, the lack of labels on the condiments makes it hard to get the ice cream right. Thirdly, there are some problems with the collision box, as sometimes my character gets stuck getting out of the freezer (or wherever the ice cream machine is).

One improvement you can make, if you are fixing this game, is to add a clock so the player has something to aim for. Maybe have people lining up for ice cream to add to the loop theme of an endless loop of people waiting in line for the ice cream.

Hey fellow jammer! First off, I love the mechanics and needing to be really careful on what block you are stepping on, especially on the later levels. For me, enjoyment takes the cake here in terms of the 5 criteria. There are two notable points I got really frustrated with, one is the lack of reset, forcing me to go through all the levels again once I softlock myself because I ran out of blocks, it is increasing frustrating when you get to the later levels and have to play the entire game again to get back to where you were. The other thing is your font in the level scene. That font does not look good when zoomed in/expanded that much.

Ending with a positive note, it is rather impressive that you managed all the assets alone! That's very impressive for a first-time jammer !!

Hey fellow Jammer,

I enjoyed playing this game. It's a very creative idea even though the use of a loop is a bit abstract, but a loop is a loop ! My favourite part about the game is that you can fly through the different sides infinitely, and also you have to be directional about the door. It's not just about getting to the door, but also getting to the door the right way.

In terms of aesthetics, I love how simplistic it is, no fancy hand-drawn character or background, just lines and stickman, which reminds me a lot of the old Flash game I grew up with. The story is also rather funny, and I like how it is an optional read that add flavours to the story.

Thank you so much for playing! Many things were cut, unfinished and unpolished as we ran out of time( as you can see) but I am glad you had some fun playing it
