Awesome game!  I really liked the slick visual style and the variety of different ship parts.  I feel like the difficult curve was a bit off, where it's a bit hard at the very start but gets easier as you go along.  It's hard to get that right in such a short time frame.  I would love to see this idea expanded because I feel there is a lot of potential here.  Still very fun as is now.  Thanks for making it!

This was great! Visuals and audio are sleek, and everyting comes together well. Excellent work!

Great game, though if I survive for longer than a few minutes I become effectively immortal and start running into massive performance issues.

Pretty fun game. It's interesting to see other takes on the expanding space ship idea. I got to around 6 minutes before my PC started struggling, but it's very satisfying to grow and get stronger.  Gameplay almost reminds me of vampire survivors, it would have been nice to see harder enemies over time as you kinda become unstoppable quickly. But the way you pick add on extra parts by just flying into them is fun, especially when a lot of them spawn. Good job!

Amazing! We had a similar idea with out game, but yours is way more polished. :D

As you become really big you fill more than the entire screen. It should be gradually zooming out so that you can continue to see what is going on around you.

Of couse, this is also the unkillable lag machine stage, so as it is the game is basically over at this point. :p

Hi, thanks for playing my game! I'll check out your one as well.

I should also note that the camera does gradually zoom out as the size of the ship increases, although it could definitely still be tweaked to scale slightly more rapidly.

Well done, one of my favourite concepts of the jam. Definitely have an amazing base for a fully fledged product. I was wondering if it was cool if you had to build specific shapes, because it gets much harder as you grow.

Incredibly fun, love the strategy in the beginning, and threading the needle getting a part just in the right place is very satisfying. Enemy visual variation, and ramping up difficulty more is probably needed, as I  reached a point where my computer was going to die before my ship was. Really fun, great job!!

Such an interesting game. Well done!

This same is sick as hell. There is a really nice tension early game when you are trying to dodge the enemies while building up, and then it just gets bananas when you get a bigger build and everything ramps up.

Great game. It is extremely satisfying to wach, haw your machine of destruction grow.

Yeah this was just amazing overall. Did get a bit of lag with a bigger build but understandable with a jam game. Fantastic job!

Excellent game all around. Congratulations! I made it past 5 minutes but had to stop playing because my FPS was dropping significantly. What I played was fantastic though, you have something special here!

Hey Firebelley, thanks for checking out my game and I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Just to answer some of your questions from the stream:

"I would prefer to have a definitive end to the game rather than just survive as long as possible" - I hadn't considered this at the time, but in hindsight that probably would have been a lot better because a lot of people had a similar issue of snowballing into an unkillable lag machine by the end.

"It would be cool to be able to rotate the ship" - This was one of the first things I implemented into the game, but when playtesting it, it just felt a bit janky and difficult to control. I also figured it'd be better for a game jam to keep the controls as simple as possible. But this could certainly be explored again in the future.

"Maybe the way you're trying to find the nearest enemy for each turret could be causing the lag" - This is almost certainly the biggest contributor to the lag, because you're were right in that I was doing it as inefficiently as possible haha. Your suggestion about using the collision system is really helpful, I'll have to give it a shot.

Worth the download! This is just so much fun and super addicting!

needs a quit button, very enjoyable otherwise.

This was a blast! Please keep going with these kind of games!

My favorite thing was to try to create shapes like triangles, hexagons, and squares when picking up objects and it would be really cool to have some bonuses when creating these shapes

That was really fun ! One of my favourites so far. At a certain point it began to lag alot, but

1. That's pretty hard to avoid given this sort of game

2. Is actually kinda fun. I feel like I'm breaking the game

I think some enemy variance could be good; at a certain point it felt impossible to lose. But i had alot of fun with it. SO juicy. so much crunch

Awesome idea and game mechanics! Awesome job!

Super fun and addicting gameplay loop! Things got really crazy for me around the 3:30 mark. I think I reached a point where I couldn't lose even if I tried and the game got really laggy so I stopped at 6 minutes. Very fun!

This is amazing! Very fun to play, only wish was that it could handle larger builds!!

One of my favourite takes on the survivors-likes so far!

I adore how simple it is to understand, and how quickly it becomes enjoyable. The ship-building mechanic adds just enough movement-based problem solving to instantly have the game stand out.

The game balance could definitely be improved, but it’s a fantastic start!
