How does your game fit the theme?
You build a ship, but you have to make it scalable because any parts you place will be locked after each round. So, the ship also scales in size after each round.

Thankyou for allowing me to build a monstrosity of a ship. Really awesome!
Nice game! Movement speed feels really slow, though.
Good work finishing!
Technical feat and great concept!
Some gameplay tweaks would make the game much better: greater rotation speed (it is slow even with minimal hull) and quicker rounds
Thanks for playing!
We initially had 60 second rounds but it felt a bit too quick in testing so I changed it to 120 seconds towards the end. Unfortunately, didn't have much time to test how that round length felt, I do agree that it ended up being a bit too long. Rotation speed could definitely have been looked into too. My initial issue was that the ship would spin too fast when it was lightweight, making it hard to control. Lowering the rotation strength fixed that but it had the downside of making heavy ships hard to turn. This is somewhat addressed by being able to strafe and aim laser turrets and missiles later on so you don't need to turn as much, but it does leave an awkward midpoint where you're too heavy to turn but only have the regular guns available. This game could certainly use a bit of rebalancing of many of the physics values.
I wanted to emphasize that technically it's very impressive:
- Ship builder!
- Ship body system that supports both player and enemy ships!!
- 2.5d game with huge environment and good performance!!!
It also makes me happy that it's made with Godot
Thanks! I'm honestly surprised myself that we manged to get this much done, especially since this was our first game using Godot, having done all of our previous games in Unity. It was a fun process though, Godot is a really nice engine.
Really cool game, reminds me of FTL and Cosmoteer, but with a spice of fleshy cosmic horror. Using lasers and missiles is quite satisfying (although it's kinda funny that you can target and damage yourself). The growing flesh gimmick is quite unique. I love the retro aesthetics. Reset level button (unless there is and I didn't know about it) could be good addition to the game and it would be very useful, especially when you start the level, but you can already see that ship you built is not going to perform really well. Nice game, good work!
fun game! i feel like the rotation in this game is tooo slow. even when i spent almost all thrusters to increase rotation, i still couldnt aim at enemies properly
Thanks for the feedback! Yah I can feel that in the early rounds its hard to get a good turn rate to get a good turn you end up having to keep your ship size to a minimum and not use all the hulls provided to you or use strafing with Q and E. This probably could have been communicated/balanced better. Also in case you did not know you can hold right click to auto aim to your mouse to make aiming a little better also if you get to late game the other gun types provide more options with aiming. Thanks for playing and for the good feedback!
This is extremely similar to a game a tried to make quite a while ago and i'm very impressed, one the best games that i've seen on the jam!
Galaxy Trucker....with MEAT. Mostly kidding but I really like this, well done :)
Galaxy Trucker I've never heard of that game before I will have to check it out. Thanks for playing and enjoying our game! :)
Very fun concept and very neat implementation of the idea!
Reminds me of the Galaxy Trucker board game which I like.
An idea has a great potential I think!
A super interesting concept, ship parts being turned into flesh permanently affecting your original size and shape. Great work!
It was a lot of fun. It’s a bit slower than the usual game jam games but very technically complex, good job. There were some small bugs and the AI kept sticking their ships but nothing major. I would have gone more toward auto-firing.
