This is a really cool take on a collectathon! It’s really neat how the collectables themselves affect your abilities. The stack-jumping ability reminded me a lot of Unbox, if you’ve played that game. This is super ambitious for a game jam too. I liked all the different areas and especially the optional newspaper stories revealing some funny story details. There was also a great sense of progression slowly getting higher in the city and finally scaling the massive building.

I think the platforming itself could’ve been a bit more interesting. There weren’t really any hazards, and there wasn’t any point where I felt challenged. Besides, with lots of staccoons pretty much everything could be skipped anyway. The camera also felt really janky to me - I think it was a bit too zoomed out, and it was super sensitive. It also kept getting stuck behind walls.

Overall though, excellent work! Very impressive for a game jam - I don’t see a lot of open world games!

I Love this game! It is fun and creative and addictive! The raccoons are so much fun. Very thoughtful narrative and innovative game play. One of the best games that I’ve played! Shout out to this team! Keep growing and pushing the envelope!

This is a very charming game!! I liked the look of the Staccoons, and the trashcan respawn mechanic was quite cool too!! I'll play some more on my own time, but I did enjoy myself!!

Featured today in this livesream!!

OMG! Drop the mic - the best game of the Jam, hands down! What an amazing job this team did. Great art, fun style, nice level design and good progression. I can't wait to see the next game from this talented team!

Loved this one.  Very creative take on the theme with a lot of clever puzzles.

As mentioned by others, the camera could be a bit troublesome at times, but learned to work with it the more I played.

Adorable game!

Fantastic! Loved pretty much everything about this! The only slight issue I had was that the camera was a little hard to control at times, but honestly, even that worked pretty well. Favorite entry of the jam so far, well done!

This is probably the best game I've played  in the jam, damn. You got so much out of the idea, the level was really well desiegned, and your core concept was charming and brilliant. It also organically adjusted the difficulty, by difficult puzzles getting easier, if you do other puzzles and get more staccoons. And the music fit perfectly, your game really had this well-executed cozy and silly atmosphere. Really well done, I loved it!

Definitely the best game I've played so far, great work everyone! Incredibly impressed with what you were able to put out in such a short time! I had such a blast playing this! The puzzles were well paced and the number of staccoons available to me always seemed to be just barely enough. Controls felt good and the main mechanic was creative and well designed. Huge props to the art team as well! I NEED a stackable staccoon plushie NOW. All in all well polished and full of heart :)

really cool game, no idea how you put so much content in it in such a short time.
like, i truly have no words to describe how i like this game :D

Pretty cool game with an interesting gimmick! Really enjoyable to play.

I definitely ran into camera issues -- maybe finer control over zoom and sensitivity would've helped. Would also be interesting to consider this game from a first-person POV.

Would've liked some attachment to the specific raccoons (e.g., different names/colors? maybe intro dialogue for each?).

Game is really nice and super polished. Would've also considered a dash mechanic -- movement felt a bit slow at some points (at least to me).

I love the theme and style of this game! It's very cute and engaging, and has a simple yet deep main mechanic! My only critique would be that the movement feels a bit floaty, and the camera getting stuck behind the world geometry makes things a bit tricky. But this is an awesome game, I'm amazed that this was pulled together in 4 days!

I'd love to hear if you have any feedback for my submission as well!

Absolute joy of a game. It looks cute, it's fun to play and very fun take on the theme! Also the humor on the newspapers was very good and gave me a good laugh a couple times. Kinda nailed everything and can't really think of anything to suggest, but I can report the cars on the roads occasionally knocking you into orbit and letting you skip some climbing challenges.

What a great game, and a fantastic take on the theme! The staccoons are adorable, the newspapers were funny, and the feeling of getting that insanely high stack of staccoons is great. Airdropping all of your gathered staccoons on the way to the final island is hilarious, and I'm glad there was a bin to bring them all back over to join me. The level design was excellent, the world was open but there was a logical progression that the game offered without too much hand-holding. The music was also very fitting!

The only critique I have for this game is that I really felt like I was fighting the camera sometimes. It clips through objects in a way that prevented me from getting a good angle on what I was doing sometimes. I was also unable to get a direct overhead view, which would have been helpful for some of the puzzles where you have to airdrop your staccoons onto buttons or land on a narrow area. But overall a fantastic game, one of my favorites so far!

I love Filo (great pun) and his scaling staccon friends! Collectible newspapers were a great touch, super cute and funny--I just wish you had a menu so you can look at them again and maybe see if there were any newspapers (or staccoons?) you missed). The music slapped, the level designs were super fun and enjoyable, and the raccoons and general art were sooooooo cute. Plus staccoon island was really fun to mess around with once you finish the actual puzzles. My favorite game of the jam, great job!

Waittttt did you get the First In Last Out reference.... there's no way... you're the first! Congrats hahaha!
Staccoon/newspaper tracking was on our to-do list but didn't quite get done :(
Shoutout to Felix (flooferdoodle) for spending literally all night laying out Stacoon Island!!
Also here's an extended earlier version of the track if you want to hear some more! https://drive.google.com/file/d/1JoQhCkc_O5W8ig4zQkfJpVLq7a-xfx12/view?usp=shari...

Anyway, we're so happy you liked our game and played to the end :)

great game, would have preferred a way to change the mouse sensitivity since high dpi users have issues with the sensitivity.

Yup have seen this quite a bit will definitely keep that in mind if we do an update

Fantastic game! Very polished for the amount of time. Would love to see new levels, a raccoon counter, and transparency of buildings when they block your view. Love the feeling of scaling up in power! And the art was so cute :)

Developer

Great suggestions!! All of those features are at the top of our list as well!

So glad you liked it and thanks for your suggestions!!
Camera dithering and Staccoon/newspaper counters are high on our priority list!
