Nice job! Really cool game.

Those zombies are FAST

Very fun to play! I do feel it takes a while before things get going, but other than that it's a very solid submission. The cover image is stunning as well!

Good game idea. The flamethrowers kinda stop making sense when the train gets bigger as they don't hit anything. More variety would be nice. Enemy variety too. I like the art an music. Good job!

This is a fun defense game! I wish the weapons behind me would work a bit harder, but they keep slacking off, lol

Vampire survivor train!!! Love the idea. If you continue to improve on this, definitely add more zombie varients and ramp the difficulty up.

Good game, great music choice. The art were on point.

I love me a good roguelike and this scratch that itch.

Great game guys!

I loved the gameplay, with some changes i would play it for sure in a mobile device. The automated canon balls are almost never hitting the zombies unless you're aiming. Besides that i would love if you continue with the development adding more weapons and maybe the option to move the train wagons. Adds more strategy to how to defend the train. GGs 5 stars

I really like the idea and the satisfying executions. I do wish the weapons were a little more effective in automatic mode but its a very fun game nonetheless. Well done.

interesting take on the survivor genre.

creativity:

I liked the fact you could choose which weapon to control and the idea of having multiple wagons for each weapon. I feel like the game lacked one more mechanic to feel great to play, like a hazard that forces the player out of controlling a weapon, like maybe having to steer the train out of obstacles? i assume the theme was incorporated in a roguelite "scaling" sense.

art:

The art was pretty good, but i feel like the enemies didn't match the rest of the artstyle, and the sprites were very small. the game is also thirsty for juice!!

sound design:

the music was okay, though it got old because it was very repetitive, though i can see how the time constraint affected that, but the music did in fact have a hearable loop break, which could be an easy fix. no sound effect sadly, really could use some

overall a pretty simple but enteratining experience, with huge potential for growth and i hope you won't give up on the idea. great job :)

If it comes to the hazard that forces the player out of controlling a weapon, at the begining we wanted to make the player walk to the locomotive to throw coal in to retain the speed of the train unfortunetly deadline got in our way, and all we could do is bare minimum to showcase the idea.

Thanks for the review!

i would love to see an improved version of this!

Really cute game! I love the idea of this a lot. I do wish the added turrets worked a little more on their own - it feels like they just kinda sit there. The gameplay is also a bit slow at the start. But otherwise I ahd a lot of fun. I hope you keep working on it! I could see you adding like NPCs that can control other turrets, etc. Nice job! :)

Fun game, cool art! I think a better camera (some subtle screen shake when firing,…) would go a long way in improving the overall feel. I also felt that the automatic guns weren’t even firing sometimes, but great job overall!

Got to wave 3, would love to see more responsiveness to the automatic guns

I enjoyed playing multiple runs of your game, thanks a lot for making it, I couldn't stop blasting away at those zombies.

I would love to see more interaction with the zombies and the zombie types or better auto-controlled weapons

I really liked this game! Very clean and just simple and enjoyable. I think some more sound effects would go a long way in making it more satisfying to play.

Really fun concept like the old mini-games of defending a base and infinite upgrades, the progression feels good and the art is really good too!! but the music is a little loud and i miss a sound for the turrets owo

Submitted

Great game. Fun to see the train grow, like unrailed. Would be cool to have more variation.

Good job! The cover of the game was quite eye-catching. I enjoyed being able to move around the train to control different weapons.

I think it would've been a little nice if the game was a little harder to lean in to the "crazy" aspect of the game, but there's definitely a foundation to build and balance that! Also, I wasn't sure if it was a bug, but when I was playing in the browser windowed, I could constantly press the Space bar after the second level and choose the past upgrade that I was prompted for over and over, so I ended up having a LONG train on the second level.

Overall, great job on the game!

Regarding the error, thank you for pointing it out. I programmed the update screen in a messy way and didn't check to see if anyone would press the spacebar when the game started, but I'm glad you still enjoyed it!

Nice game, I had fun building my death train. Reminds me of Vampire survivors, but you have to protect a stationary base.
Maybe first levels should have been made shorter.
