I did not do very well at all, but I had fun! Nice idea, felt really unique.

Fun little game. I'm always a fan of rythm games, and I like what you did here. I'm not a piano player, so I utterly sucked at the game, but that doesn't matter. It was kind of a tease to have the Wii music at the menu but not having it included in the game, tho :P

Developer

Thanks so much for playing! The wii menu theme probably would have been really challenging but it might make an appearance in a future release of the game ;)

This was a fun idea! I had a hard time with the controls, but it was well made with a very cute style!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! I'll definitely be sure to try to make the controls easier in a future update.

I really enjoyed the game!! Love the rhythm aspect and how you took the theme quite literally loool - I will say I think having the piano notes play while the music is playing can be quite jarring as they're different notes. Overall, great game!!

Developer

Thanks for playing! The notes being off-sync is actually  a bug lol but I managed to find a fix just after the deadline passed.

I really love this interpretation of the theme, the whole game is really creative! I will say though that I found myself getting a little frustrated at the game as it was just a little too much all at once making it hard to focus in and play the notes. I feel like this game would be a lot easier too for someone who knows how to type, but I unfortunately do not lmfao. Overall this is a great game though, as I said the art/theming/game idea are all really creative and I think you did a great job :)

Thank you so much for playing the game! I definitely want to address the difficulty level in a future update though...

Interesting and original idea. I like the overall artistic style of the whole game, all the pixel art and animations, looks very solid.

I think for a new player with no musical experience it must be much, much easier, with less keys to press and less things to learn. Looking at a house being built as I play is very satisfying though! Nice take on the theme!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! I definitely want to make it a bit easier in a future update...

Musical scales were a great way to take the theme. Completing a building as you complete a track is a dope idea.

Developer

Thanks for playing!

Keyboard Hero! I wish the falling notes started higher up so I had more time to get ready. Plus I was hitting multiple notes at times, but only heard one tone. I don’t have musical ears, so maybe I’m just not hearing the harmony?

Developer

Thanks for leaving feedback! In a future update, I'll probably take that suggestion and move the notes higher, which is something I had originally thought of doing anyway.

Cool idea. I think I would have preferred the controls focusing on the home row. I completely for got how to type with my fingers in and unnatural place lol.

Thanks for playing/leaving feedback!

Glad to see another musical scale game here! This was a really cool take on the idea, felt a bit like guitar hero except harder haha

Developer

Thanks so much for playing/leaving feedback! I definitely want to make future versions of the game have an easier ramp up in difficulty and I find it really cool to see the variety in the musical interpretations of the theme!

Submitted

Wow, I really like how you implemented the scale controls! I'm pretty bad at rhythm games but this was really fun :)

Developer

Thank you so much for playing/commenting!

Clicked on "Play" Music popped off so hard like in Vampire Survivors the first track. I love it haha.

Very creative concept! For me, it is a bit difficult to play because I have a QWERTZ keyboard layout. Therefore it is hard to hit the "z"/"y" notes.

With that limitation, I still tried my best to hit the notes :).

Developer

Thank you for playing and leaving feedback! I definitely wanted to have support for alternate keyboard layouts included in the published jam version but it unfortunately didn't work out. I'll be sure to include it in the next version I release after the jam voting ends.

Learning curve is bit steep. But then again i dont have hand-eye coordination

Developer

Thanks so much for playing! I definitely want to make the game easier/improve the tutorial levels after the jam ends, so hopefully that will address some of the more common  concerns!

Very cool game all around ! As other mentionned, there is a bit too little time to react to the falling blobs. Were you planning on adding building elements as well ? Anyways, cool concept !
PS : If the player spams all keys, they get 100% very easily, I'd suggest giving a malus for wrong keys sometimes.

PS PS : For players using an azerty keyboard, it becomes way harder !

Developer

Yeah, I originally wanted to make more buildings. Also, I had a keyboard remapping system but it broke unfortunately. Those are both things I'll definitely add after the jam voting ends though! Thanks for playing though!

A very cute little game where I can finally say I played a keyboard! :") I agree that the control is sometimes a bit wonky since I don't really play keyboard, but I like the idea of combining scaling the house with music scales. It's a pity that when I went full screen for second gameplay, the game showed me only purple blank page. But overall, good job for finishing the game!

Developer

Thanks so much for playing/leaving feedback! I'm glad you managed to enjoy what the game currently has to offer and I definitely plan to improve the controls/UI when I update the game. I'm not quite sure what the purple page glitch is but I'll try to investigate sometime...

FYI i'm having trouble playing this one (I'm on chromium/mac). Works on Safari!

Developer

Interesting... Maybe it's a browser/OS compatibility issue. I confirmed I enabled SharedArrayBuffer support in the game settings (it's required for Godot projects to work on web) but I'll have to look into why this is happening at some point on a Mac. Thanks for reporting!

I think the controls should be a bit dialed down. Most rhythm games usually stick to four buttons to keep track of. It was quite overwhelming to see the entire piano in front of me even though I play keyboard in real life. Unique take on the theme, I like that you used musical scales!

Developer

To your point: I originally wanted to only unlock certain parts of the keyboard as levels progressed but didn't have enough time in the end. Thanks so much for playing and taking time to leave feedback!

Cute take on other piano learning games, the art is beautiful!

- The notes should definitely come from higher up, you get no reaction time to play anything.

- It seems like you cant press the same key too quickly, which makes some notes just impossible.

- The mapping was very off so there was a huge disconnect between what I was hearing and what I was playing.

- The song being really high pitched beeping was more annoying than anything. A musical game needs to sound pleasing to the ear or you lose so much.

Developer

Thanks so much for playing and leaving feedback! I wanted to change the notes speed/size but didn't have enough time. Also, about the other control issues, some of them only popped up right before the deadline so that was frustrating. I'll definitely consider these things when releasing an updated version after the jam!

Submitted

I like the look of it, but had a very hard time actually playing it, definietly very difficult especially on a cheap keyboard

Developer

Yeah, I didn't have a whole lot of time to really polish the gameplay/controls as much as I'd have liked. Thanks for playing though!! :D
