Extremely anxiety-inducing yet also really funny, just like how a gnome game is supposed to be lmao.
Super fun and interesting concept! Trying to flick the gnomes off though was so hard. I was only ever to flick the first gnome off every time I played even when I sorta flicked some of the others around the boat.
A really funny concept for a game! The concept is interesting and the visuals are great! The silly music adds to the ambience. The flicking control did not feel very responsive and didn’t feel like it was very strong. I got a high score of 96!
Overall a quick and silly game that’s fun to play! Great job!
Goofy lil' minigame! Took a few moments to get the mechanics down of drawing the mouse back to fling the gnomes further, but after that I was into the tense nature of saving the ship. One thought I had was that a custom, larger cursor would make it easier for the player to track where their mouse cursor is during play. On the flip side, it would make for a fun mobile game as well!
Surprisingly fun game!
Props for making the game so self-explanatory! The player will instinctively what to do and what to prevent. Seeing the ship sink, hearing the music change pitch; it's great example of "show, don't tell"
I was getting scores <50 when using the mouse, switching to my drawing tablet made a world of difference!
For some reason flicking to the top of the screen seemed to be way less effective than flicking to the bottom? Not sure why (or if it is just my imagination). Might just be that the hand was covering the indicator making me less accurate?
I enjoyed playing this game! The idea is rly creative, it's funny and chaotic and I love how the music goes crazier as the ship sinks more. Great game!
gnomes are cute
I love the chaos! The gnome designs are great and the music is delightfully stressful as things get more out of control
I got 435 on my first try, is that good?
Why is this so addicting!
Fun game, I like that it started directly and when the music started to speed up I got a bit stressed haha. I did not realize if there was any goal until my boat started to take in a lot of water. The hand felt a bit clunky at sometimes. I think it didn't flick when I released my button a few times but other than that it played good :)
After drawing a pixelated hand for our game, I appreciate another nicely animated hand as the main character. Top gnome flinging experience! Would recommend.
Good job on your game! :D
really cool simple game, loved the graphics. Could do with a better indicator for where the hand will end up maybe, but other than that great job!
Fun idea, and a cool implementation. The soundtrack fits the game style very well, too. I couldn't really fling a lot of gnomes though, because there is no mouse restriction / capture and I always had to look for the mouse cursor :(
yeah better indications on where you were going to fling would be one of the first additions we would add. Thanks for the feedback!
I flung 800 gnomes before I had to stop because my arm was killing me. I'm billing you for my physical therapy. 10/10 game.
Cute game!
Quite fun and pretty quirky. I got 341! I like the style.
Fellow gnome enjoyer here. Very cute! Controls where weird for PC, might be fun as a mobile game. I wished there were more sound effects since the oof is very iconic. The music speeding up was fun :)
We planned on adding some gnomish (that's a real language you gotta trust me), and some taunting animations but we simply ran out of time. Thanks for the feedback!
I love legal gnome killing
it was so satisfying to fling off those dang gnomes! great style & intuitive gameplay, once I saw the ship sink a bit I knew exactly what was going on!
Perhaps in an alternate universe, a gnome made a game named "Pesky Humans" and submitted it to GMTK 2024...
Anyways, great game, intuitive control, nice visual and audio.
