AHHH! Its like Worms!! I loved playing that game when I was a kid. Took a minute to figure out how/what I was doing but once I got the hang of it, it was fun. I think maybe having a tutorial level or a premade map would be helpful cause the first map wasn't super useful.

I loved the artwork and the character, it was adorable! The QTE for reloading got really intense when I was also trying to fight an enemy and I loved that. Opening the doors in Loop 0 thought got really tedious and I thought there weren't any enemies at all until I found all the door pieces. Maybe making the portal a brighter color or adding some sort of effect on it would make it easier to see because I only ran into it on accident and then got the "go find the pieces quest".
The game had a super cute feel and it reminded me of my childhood watching wipeout except I was the one to finally jump on the bouncy red ball. The fishing was not really working for me. I did notice the circles in the water after doing all the platforming but even then, nothing was biting.
Edit: I played again and realized you had to land the pole in the circles.
The QTE's are way too fast, I'm a decently fast reader but not that fast to read them all and process so I just started spamming the options lol. At first I thought you had to pick one and actually type it out so I failed the first level pretty quickly. I did really enjoy the concept though, very nice to be on top of the rich people AI boom for once instead of at the bottom.
My favorite quick-time was the typing one; I enjoy the fast typing games. My least favorite was trying to set the clock because I'm one of those people who struggle to read them ( I CAN read it, I'm just a little slow...not great for QTE). Still had a lot of fun with this game though! I also really enjoyed how simply the look of the game is but by adding the arcade looking screen really made this game feel like something special.
Thank you for playing! The game is actually based on my cousin. She was stuck in a pep-boys auto service and really had to go so she texted me in horror because the bathroom was located in an area where everyone would know what was happening in the bathroom. She ended up staying in the bathroom for like an hour and when she left, more people were there and someone immediately went in. I was still in College at the time and was trying desperately not to audibly laugh in the middle of the dead silent art class XD
She did give me permission to make a game off of her poo-horror experience as long as she received no credit
Loved seeing this improved from round 1! The character customization got a lot easier to use too. I will say that the QTE's were a little challenging for me at first cause I thought I had to just press them fast enough not also get them in the red lol. I wish I could have read a little more of the beginning bits too right after you've finished making the character. It flashes on/off the screen so fast that I wasn't sure what was happening at first but after the word lengths changed drastically, I realized the game wasn't broken it was just story context. Great job!!
Depending on the theme we get for Round 2, I might. Before I ran out of time, the plan was to have the different options give you different stats and have people run through you that you had to successfully scare away before they make it to the end, like a little arcade game. Spiderwebs would slow down the people but not increase scare chances, baby dolls would increase scare chance, and so on for the others.
Great game, I loved the puzzle aspect of it and it was easy to know which shape to jump to because of the numbers/shapes at the top of the screen. I don't think it was much of a character customizer though because if was more forced to be this shape or that shape to make it through the level, not a player's choice. Fun game though nonetheless.
I think this was a cool game. It was a unique take on the customizing the character challenge and I liked that. I will say it seemed more of a mechanic than a true character customizer especially since you have to change some of the characters to a certain size/gravity/jump to complete the platforming. Makes it more puzzle than choice. Still a cool game and I'd love to see it further developed.
When I checked this game before, I think it was just download so I'm glad its on web now too. The artwork is so cute and I want those blue boots I bought in the game, ngl.
I will say that since you can't remove certain items, it makes some of the items (the blue cloak) a little hard to wear and have it look right.
The game was really nice to play; loved the animation of stepping on the enemies. Wish there was some more customizations though, felt like they weren't really important at all in the game. Maybe if you make it through more levels, squish X enemies, get certain high scores on the pole could give the player new ways to customize the character.
