Loving the game! It really fits the theme!
thank you!
Hilarious! I love physic based games, and this one fits the theme perfectly!
that's great to hear!
Very nice idea! Never played climbing game before, but i think you nailed it!
thank you!
AWESOME! Great minds think alike. I would love to know how you went about making this one. I initially wanted to make bouldering central to my own submission (hence the name), but didn't end up executing on it.
thanks! I'll make a post-jam devlog on itch about the details that went into making this game, so follow if you want to see it!
One of the best games so far, the feeling of detaching three limbs and flipping your robot over is amazing. Definitely worth a try.
thanks so much!
Simple, but well-designed! The music was nice and relaxing, the game felt polished, and some of the levels almost felt like little puzzles, in a way. Good work on this.
thank you!
(i would rate your game back but i'm on mac so unfortunately can't play it)
Don't go out of your way if you don't want to, but it should work on Wine. I made the game on Linux running GameMaker through it, haha.
This is a great game mechanic. I love the physics and just swinging around grabbing higher holds. I wish I didn't have to click-drag the hands/feet. It feels like it slows down gameplay. Maybe having something similar to Human Fall Flat. Very fun way to with a similar vibe to this game.
Regardless, I really liked this game alot! Well done, thanks for making this!
interesting idea, I'll look more into it post-jam. thanks for the comments!
Yeah, basically, left click is for your left hand and right click is for your right hand. It's a pretty fun way to do it.
I wish I were as flexible as this robot... great game!
thanks!
Really Really fun game! (once I figured out how to start by reading the discription🙈)
Enjoyed it a lot! One of my favorites!
thanks! this stuff is so nice to hear!
LoL, I also had trouble starting the game :D. Nice concept though. I like how it plays, even though the physics can be fiddly. GG.
thanks! I'll do what i can to improve the physics post-jam. glad you enjoyed!
Ok this is one of those single focused system heavy games I have played so far and you pretty much nailed it. How did you implement the ragdoll physics of the limbs?
Very good execution in just 4 days, polish this up a bit and you got a game some people will spend hours on end. I loved it!
thanks so much! the ragdoll in godot is just a bunch of rigidbodies connected with pinjoints. there's probably a better way, but this was the second thing i thought of (the first was to use springjoints but godot springjoints are actually the worst thing ever)
This is easily my new favorite entry! I literally just played it for like 45 minutes beating all the levels, it has real addicting quality to it where I felt like it was my fault that I wasn't reaching the goals, not the game's.
The only real thing, and I think others have said this, is that there are times where you're swinging around a handhold and one of the limbs gets stuck to the others, which can kill a good run. I still had a great time with it, really impressive job!
wow, thank you so much! I'll try to fix as many physics/control bugs post-jam, thanks for mentioning!
(your game was super cool too btw)
thanks! if you want you could follow me to get notified when the post-jam version releases!
The stamina system is very smart to balance it out but the legs sometimes do some weird stuff. Overall really cool execution!
thanks! godot physics can be a bit buggy without the perfect settings, will try to improve it post jam ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Had fun completing some levels with legs up and hands down! Really well implemented physics
thanks! it's always fun to hear how people manage to get up the cliff!
Pretty cool game, I like the creative interpretation of the given theme
thanks!
This game is really fun! The mechanics are simple but it has a lot of depth to it.
I like the art and the minimalistic design. I also like the interactive tutorial. Although I don’t think it tells the difference between light rocks and darker rocks, and I assumed you just can’t grab darker rocks.
The controls get a little frustrating sometimes:
But even with those hurdles, the game is really addictive. What an impressive entry!
thanks for all the feedback! a few of those things were pointed out by playtesters but just too close to the deadline ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. I'll try to add lots of those features (especially the opposite leg unsticking, that actually sounds really cool)
Really cool game! Dragging the hand to buttons being the way to navigate the main menu and options menu was a genius way of introducing the player to the hand drag mechanic, and immediately got me into the flow of rock climbing. I was a little confused at times whether my hand had successfully grabbed onto the rock or if it had missed, since both a successful grab and a failed grab played the same "pop" sound effect, so maybe consider different sound effects for successful/missed grabs. Overall, really nice job!
thanks for the comments! a different sound effect for a successful/failed grab is a great idea!
Uhhh cool game dude! The mechanics is so simple that make a round and become hard, and I love when it happen. I think that we are gonna see you in the jam video!
yeah i hope so! i'm super happy you enjoyed it!
The game is really fun to play, excellent job on this game !
thanks!
