Nice game, the idea is very similar to mine, I still wanted the player to win and you wanted the player to lose.
I like the art and the gameplay, I just found the controls a bit "hard" for someone not used to the game, and that's why I used mouse control in my game.

Developer

Mouse is definitely a better approach! For me it was easier to implement the keyboard system, that's why I did it haha. If I expand the game, I will consider implementing the mouse controls. Thanks for the feedback!

Loved the presentation of the game and really enjoyed solving the puzzles!

Awesome game, I had fun solving every level. The input system is not practical and needs to be refactored imho

Cool entry!

The puzzles were fun to tackle and the overall idea was original :)

I feel like invincibility frames were kinda busted, I solved a number of puzzles by just placing needles in front of hearts to prevent the player from picking them up, and I feel like I exploited a mechanic as opposed to solving a puzzle.  I also feel like I didn't really utilize all of the game's elements.  I optimized the fun out of the game.  I still think this is a cool idea, but definitely needs to protect the player against themselves.

There's a level that can't be solved if you don't take advantage of invincibility frames - it is definitely an intended resource!

I hope you liked the game and thanks a lot for playing!

Nice Game

The game is very good; There are already several games to edit the platforms or elements of a level in the game jam, but this one is well done, with creative tools to hinder the hero. I also love puzzle games. Good music, very good graphics. Good job!

Really nicely thought out puzzles in this one! I enjoyed it a lot, as the puzzles were generally quite challenging but not too much. I also just like the general idea and how much gameplay there is from quite a simple set of items the player can place. Personally right now I kind of gave up on one of the puzzles, as I can't wrap my head around it, but apart from that it was a really engaging experience. Good job!

Awesome. Not sure how you managed it in time. But it was fun.

Looks really cool, but I’m stuck on the third level. I’m not sure what to do with the bomb you’ve given me. Can I get a little help please? :)

Developer

Bombs explode when dropped! :)

Submitted

What causes them to drop?

Developer

Gravity haha, if you place them from above of a block/box/whatever, it will explode as soon as it collides with it.

This is precisely the kind of cute puzzle game I love!

I do think I found an exploit or two- like the needles/spikes making the hero invulnerable to even hearts.

Developer

Hey, thanks for playing! Actually no, they weren't exploits, that was actually something to consider for the solution (invincibility frames!)

You were pretty good at the puzzles!

Very nice game, really like the engaging factor. Thanks for the hints you gave in stream ! Very well made and the puzzles all make sense in the end. Love the aesthetic, simple but effective, thank you so much for making this.

Oh man, this is fantastic! The mental engagement you had me in from the start was great.

I really like how you teach the player how items work in specific settings. The damage i-frames are very important here too. Loved it!!

A lot has been achieved here in 48 hours great job!

Very fun idea for the theme! It fits very well. I did run into a bug, one of the times when I reset the game I just had a purple screen.  I did have to refer to the controls a couple of times though. -Kaylee

Love the presentation! Really nice style and the puzzles were really nicely done (I could never come up with those puzzles in 48 hours :D)

Loved it, would prefer if starting the next level wouldn't require extra input.
