This was an interesting take on the theme. I found the enemies to be a bit frustrating, however, because you couldn't move through them. I had to retry the first level about eight times, for example, because I wasn't able to jump up to the next step while an enemy was blocking the ledge. Outside of that, though, the game felt pretty well balanced. Tough but fair, I'd say. Nice work!
Unique concept and I thought it was really funny when I landed on an enemy's head and the poor fella looked so confused trying to shoot me. :) Nice art, good jam game!
Unique concept of a max damage per level for both enemies and player. Loved the sprites too .
I loved the adorable sprites. I had an blast playing with the challenging, well-fleshed out mechanics and level design. I hope to see more of this game XD
Cool game. I found it best to rush though it and ignore the enemies. I wish the camera was a bit further back so you can see more of the level.
Goog job!
The art and vibe of the game are great. It does seem like it is a bit hard. I also found it easiest and most viable to try and skip past all of the enemies since they are very aggressive and make it super hard to win by killing them.
Cool concept, and I liked the aesthetic :)
I think, like a few others, I found the balance was a bit out- it was almost always better to lure and hide from enemies than to engage them; I think either making the AI a bit less reactive (most of the time they’d shot me before I’d even seen them :P) or one-shot kills could easily address this :)
Original take on the theme! Could be turn into something really cool!
This is one of the more original takes on the theme, and that's really cool. I think that my combining the damage taken and given, and not making the enemies die from one hit, you lose some of the coolness of the concept. If I had to decide between losing some life but avoiding an enemy, that would be an interesting question. At present, I'm mostly just avoiding enemies, and therefore your cool premise isn't getting explored. Would love to see where this one goes.
Thanks for your feedback, you're not the only one suggesting to make enemies die from one or two hits, I already tried it out and it works much better but for some reason I couldn't come up with this during the development process!
Nah, that makes sense. Making a game in 48 hours is INTENSE and you come away from it thinking "Oh my god, I could have done so many things!"
I like the game and the main concept! I think one thing that gets a little frustrating though is when the enemies trap you, or when they continuously walk on top of you. Maybe it would be good to disable collision between them and the player? Otherwise, great job!
Thanks, that's definitely a problem I should've addressed!
Neat little jam game. The controls are a bit wanky and you do not really have the ability to dodge the damage from the enemies, but other than that it's absolutely fine.
very interesting concept, forcing the player to actions that are normally encouraged, like jumping and hitting enemies. Fighting enemies seemed a bit unfair, you're gonna get hit no matter what, and the camera should be a bit smoother, but the controls are nice and the sound fx make the movement really satisfying. Good job!
Great game! I love the music, art and sfx. The tight controls are very good too, you have to tell me how you did them. I fail to see how the game fits the theme however...
Thanks, the game fits the theme by joining together, for example, all the damage done on the map.
great take on the theme!
This game is so of magic! I selected level 9 directly and then beat 9 and 10 so the game ended.
I ignore all the enemies and use my bullet to destroy others' bullet, to find the door as quick as possible.
I was a hero.
Well that's an interesting comment, thanks for playing my game!
Good concept and art. The game seems to be very difficult in my opinion, and the total damage applies basically removes my ability to kill enemies al together, because you take so much damage because there are so many enemies, I can't get past the 2nd level
Thanks for your feedback!
Well done for completing your first game! That's an achievement in itself, whatever flaws it may have.
I liked that you can stand on enemies' heads like platforms, and that they can do that to you. There's a whole other game to be explored there I think.
Thank you, standing stuff is cool but i think i shouldn't have made the enemies collide with each other
Nice game ! I just think the key binding is not very practical. but I still enjoyed it :D
Thanks, didn't think that this could be a problem
Hey, fun game, I liked the fast flow almost like a speedrun, although the enemies are super responsive and the bullets are too fast and its hard to dodge. so I died a lot but everything is so fast so its ok even if you restart. I think adding some directions can help to give general idea of where to move to finish the level.
Thanks, I noticed it too when I replayed my game that I dont know where to go in order to finish the level
cool but a bit hard (also i read the name as moles toenails so that was weird)
Thanks, I really should've made it easier. And I couldn't come up with a proper name so I just used "Total amount of" in latin
