My god, controlling 4 characters at a time, and possibly even more, is totally chaotic! I love it!
The upgrades are awesome, they really feel like they do something to your characters. You feel so bad when you lose a Lvl X unit.
I'm also impressed with the number of units there is, I rarely had two copies of the same person in my party.
Only feedback: would it be possible to attack up and down? Whan an ennemy is above you, it is really difficult to hit him without moving back, and taking a hit yourself in the process.
But apart form that small detail, really great job to the team!
thanks a lot for the feedback :)
Attacking up or down is possible with certain characters which have good level up ranges :)
Art and aesthetics is beautiful :D, amazing game!
Damn, this is an amazing game.
Like, the idea of controlling multiple characters with same inputs is common, but your twist on it is incredible.
I'd like to give some in-depth feedback but I don't know what to say. Perhaps I'd like an ability to go a tile back without turning but I dunno, it might be a part of the gameplay. Awesome!
Great idea and a lot of fun, congratulations!
I love it! The aesthetic is perfect for the tone of the game! The music and gameplay are vaguely reminiscent of the old Golden Axe games. Nice work!
I absolutely adored this! I can't wait to play it again because now that I understand, I want to try to keep more characters alive. I love the little characters and their different specialties. I love how you totally feel like a hero in the end. I thought the mechanics were so cool! Totally reminded me of chess once I figured it out. Laughed so much when I saw a raptor! Super duper cool!
thanks a lot for the very nice review :))
That was really interesting! I think you should work with difficulty curve, but your game is great! I will be thankful if you give some feedback on our game too!
This game is incredible! It's full of art, content, and I couldn't believe it when I saw the upgrade system! The concept is amazingly well executed and very ambitious for a game jam!
I played till the end and found it be very well balanced, a very clever mix of action and puzzle!
Really really great job!
thanks for playing and congrats on getting to the end :)
Nice graphics! I included it in my GMTK compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :)
Even though I did not quite get what I did there, it still was pretty fun. Great game!
This game is pretty addicting--probably one of the entries I played the most! It's satisfying to move in a giant blob of heroes, and I like how you need to use the terrain to rearrange them (though my melee fighters always wound up behind everyone else...).
thanks for playing :)
Hey mate. Some feedback:
- Don't make the portal look like a new character.
- Please don't instakill/kill in two attacks my character.
- Please don't let unreachable powerups spawn. Furthermore, sometimes level gen forced me to take damage.
- Maybe make the color of the level of the character red so it does not look so much like their HP.
- Maybe also make the HP of the character go vertically after going too much horizontally.
- Some buildings look like walls.
- FRICK SORCERERS. Please nerf them.
- When spawning a new character on late game, I'd appreciate it if they could start with some levels.
Could not beat the game. Fricking sorcerers.
That's probably the best feedback I've gotten so far, thanks a lot X)
This game is really well done! The graphics are kind of cute and the gameplay is really fun. My only complaint is about visibility. Sometimes the player or the path is behind something and you can't see it. My suggest is to make those parts translucid or to just delete them if they don't affect the game too much. Anyway, congratulations.
hey, thanks for playing :)
The hidden path part was a bit of design to add some impredictibility :p
Good game and presentation. I tried to run past everyone.
this is actually a turn by turn strategy game where running past everyone is dangerous but thanks for playing :)
It's amazing how much you've managed to do in 48 hours. Mechanics are polished and fun, pixel art looks great and the music is spot on and on top of that you've managed to cram in a full campaign of levels in here. Awesome experience, congrats :)
thanks for playing :)
I've had this idea written down on paper for a while, and decided that the GMTK jam was a good time to do it!
Play crazy! Great game! Attacking with a long-range character is a fun experience.
yeah, long range characters are a bit overpowred (or maybe short range characters are underpowered) I might balance things in a future post-jam version!
Once I understood the mechanics (and ended up with the angel instead of the robot as a first character), this was a blast! How does the generic human work, though? Does it attack at all, or is it just a weak meatshield?
Character variety and roguelike elements makes this game super addicting. My only complain is that it's very difficult to see what your character's individual ranges are. When I first played the game, I couldn't figure out at all what the robot's attack range was and just ended up using the dog for the most part. It's also tough to see the enemy's range, too. Makes it overall difficult to plan your moves in advance, but this concept was nonetheless super sick!
hey, thanks for playing :)
The generic human (intern) starts with no attack and very low stats but gets immensely powerful as you level him up!
Finally got around to playing this. Great job Adrien and team! Good game in all 3 categories
Put me in that classic predicament where I had so many allies that I got careless and lost too many at once. Never quite recovered from that, but it turned it into a totally different game suddenly.
thanks for playing :) This game has dynamic difficulty and it does change a lot depending on how good you're playing!
I didn't know what I was doing for most of the time (aside from moving and attacking randomly XD), but it seems like a well polished game. Nicely done!
thanks for playing :)
I love the sound and aesthetics of the game. A clean and polished entry for the jam :)
thanks for playing :)
