In the game, you only set the initial conditions on the grid of cells. After pressing play, you can no longer control anything. Instead, a simulation unfolds, with each cell behaving based on its own set of rules.

Epic puzzle! Stuck at level 10, but loved it!

Very cool puzzle game! Innovative design, great puzzle design and great work pulling this off in a game jam. The potential is endless for a game like this

Not only is this an insane cellular simulation, but the puzzle design complements the mechanics really well and makes it into an amazing game! Awesome job, my brain is still shocked :)

Thanks so much mr mars!

I loved this game! I like how quickly you can reset things to try again, and how fast it is to learn new mechanics! The sound reminded me of Archon, an old NES game, so that was a fun nostalgia trip as well. Great work!

I love all the mechanics! This game was also really well polished, and had no shortage of levels, something I know can take awhile to make.  Good job, and I'd love to see the devlog of this if you were planning to make one.

Thanks Ben!

Fun puzzle game. Really enjoyed the art and sounds

Really nice game and puzzles! Some of them are pretty hard, especially when you have to think several steps ahead.

Really polished game and great core mechanic, I also like how when you press play you are then "out of control"! The audio really fit the art style as well! Overall, I really enjoyed playing!

Absolutely love this entry! Very nice concept, extremely well executed, and really nails that sweet spot of having simple rules that lead to complex consequences, paired with a perfect difficulty curve that introduces things slowly, but had me properly thinking by the end! And lovely graphics to boot!

(p.s. that last level was extremely satisfying)

Nice puzzles, unfortunately 14+ levels were too hard for me. Very polished game, the sound effects are really good.

It is cool idea to have puzzles, that you don't fully control and so they can do some pretty crazy stuff.

Great entry, had fun figuring out how to clear the puzzles !

Interesting puzzle and nice pixel art!

It seems like the concept "set initial conditions, then let game compute the rest" is very popular in the jam -- in fact, it made a puzzle game around the same principe, but with 3d physics :)

First great puzzle game I've seen so far! Great job :)

Really cool puzzle game. Impressive for only 48 hours! Presentation and the first tutorial levels are golden.

Best game Ever!

ps: make a sandbox mode

Developer

Haha not really. But I might have to add a sandbox mode

This literally ranks in one of my top puzzle games, presentation is so simple, its easy to play and understand, add more a tiny bit more polish and it could go out into the steam market place.

Developer

Thanks so much! I might have to get on that...

Update the page if you release a full version somewhere!

The puzzles are hard to find solutions to, which makes it extremely satisfying when you do.
