How does your game fit the theme?
I thought it would be cool to think about how a game of Chess could be made "out of control" and what I came up with was a game of Chess but as a roguelike, and where the piece you control keeps changing.

Thank you, I’m glad you enjoyed it! I was worried it would be too hard because of unfair situations created by the random generation, so I may have over corrected with all the items and stuff

Really cool concept, only mild issue is that sometimes towers can hit you from offscreen which is a bit annoying, but otherwise, roguelike chess is smart idea and the ability to skip turns is a welcome addition for if you're stuck as a terrible piece trying to take out a queen or something

Really fun! Such a good concept. The only little thing I would change is the pond. There is no advantage to have this piece. Its just a worst king. Other than that, its one of the best games I played in this jam!

Awesome idea! Also visuals are very clean and nice! As for the feedback - I'd chose different symbol for showing available moves. I was a little confused at first, a cross associates something forbidden. But that's only nitpicking, great game!

This was really fun! The only thing I found myself wanting was to see more of the board, but that doesn't detract at all from the game, to be honest.

I should have mentioned that I was. I guess my comment really concerns rooks, bishops, and the queen, because sometimes the chest I want is underneath the item menu and so I can't get to it in one turn. Again, this didn't honestly detract from the game, though, since it so rarely happened anyway.

I really like the concept! I feel like you could do more with the mechanic of switching pieces rather than just a turn timer, but overall it's pretty cool!

Love the concept, very unique and a great application of the theme. The sound and visuals perfectly finish the game! Overall a great idle game to play!
