Stunning visuals, really polished aesthetic and both worlds just looked so nice I really liked switching between them at will just for the sake of it! The animations and sounds on smashing rock were very nice too. The camera could use a little work just to allow the player to work out the best route around the landscape, but the use of theme was great!
I'm not sure what else to say - it was just a totally polished and unbreakable game with no bugs - I tried to soul shift into a rock to break the game, but it wouldn't let me haha. I'm glad I played it because it wasn't done justice in the livestream! :)
Thanks for playing and thanks for the amazing comment, I plan to add more to it. Although I didn't get the amount of playable content into the game, I did take some time to try and remove anything that would break the game to ensure it could actually be played. Hopefully you should see an update soon with some more levels and things.
Glad you enjoyed :D
Looks like a great game, given its unfinished status I can say it could be a potentially fun game with the switch character mechanic.
I spent ages trying to solve the sandbox level because it loads at the end of the tutorial and I thought it was just another level. Other than that, it's hard to say something that hasn't already been said before: good visuals, nice theme, level design needs tuning, simple mechanics well implemented.
Yeah sorry about that, it was a case of not enough time. The next part of the tutorial is introducing the soul shift to the player and having them use it for themselves but I ran out of time and couldn't build a full puzzle but didn't want to leave out showing the possibilities
Also you're profile pic makes me feel guilty for putting you through that XD
Love the art style and very neat ideea in using the theme.
Thanks glad you liked it
Good mechanics, clean visual style, the camera could be improved but overall very good concept!
Yeah I thought similar, how would suggest camera adjustment? I'm going to change it when I add in some other levels, I think it's a little to low and close to the player (that's why the sandbox level has a slightly different camera position)
But thank you for playing and glad you enjoyed
I would add a "rubber band" or "sticky" effect to the camera. Use the right stick to move the camera slightly and once the player releases the stick, the camera goes back to were it was.
I'll give it a go
Looks great and I really like the sound design. Only criticism I have is that the platforming in the demo is way harder than a demo level should be IMO. I really like the mechanics though and I could see myself putting HOURS into this
Thank you for playing and I appreciate the feedback, I completely understand what you mean with the difficulty, it is a little hard and needs toning down but I didn't want it to be super easy, balancing this game is gonna take a little time, more time than I had to test it.
Glad you enjoyed though
This game is one of my favourites out of the ones that use a contrasting world mechanic in this jam :) great art, movement feels great. Overall very polished considering the time frame we were working on!
Thank you and the polish is due to the amazing team I had, I hope to add to it very soon
Game looks super pretty!
I'll pass this to the awesome artist :D
