Did you use any third-party assets or skeleton code?
We used DoTween and we have a jam template with scaffolding like skeleton main menu and some framework code like a simple state machine.

I love the art style a lot. I thought the controls felt pretty laggy though but I'm not sure if that's a webgl bug or something
It's good, I like the music and art, could be awesome but movement feels unresponsive. Also what is the theme interpretation?
5 stars for the cool music! Overall fun to play. To move precisely is a bit difficult but fair enough for the game.
This is a fun shmup. Needs some balancing and the colliders seems a bit off, but great idea - keep it going!
The game is nice, it lacks a little precision but it's juicy!
The animation off shooting its very juicy, also the controls are a little bit rough but the game it selfs its very nice. Good job, this is juicy :D
Really nice game, the first one explaining fast and simple mechanics which is crucial for a jam game. The only complaint was the movement felt a bit too fast making it hard to hit enemies with a shot. Great Job! Check my game if you'd like to.
Visuals are super strong here, the game is very charming.
I also really enjoyed the music and the enemy design seems fair but can be challenging at times!
Good entry!
Did you have time for poetry? I'm amazed :D
Good "E" attack, feels interesting. Nice submission!
Thank you :) Well, the song lyrics were actually created by ChatGPT.
I don't know what the rider is or where is that hand from, but this silly style is just fantastic. The secondary attack... :D You can slap the like button with that. Great thing that the player can shoot out the enemy projectiles. I quite it.
I don't want to judge the movement. I never rod a hand before, so it could be realistic, but it didn't feel snappy.
The animations are great. The hurt hand with the bandages is neat. :)
Oh, yeah. The music. It can stuck into your head. pretty neat.
The art style is super nice, the game is really pretty and cute and the animations are wonderful.
the movement is floaty - in games like this having precise movement is really important, the player need to maneuver between projectiles and enemies and you want the character to move exactly to where the player wants her to be.
also you can add more feedback to the main player actions: shooting and moving, make them pop with screen shake, particles and sound.
very cute game, nice work!
I like the art and sound of the game. The character design is cute and the music is enjoyable. However, the controls felt floaty and imprecise, which made the gameplay a bit challenging. The secondary attack was confusing to use and I would suggest improving its implementation. The feedback on hitting enemies could also be stronger. Overall, high points on creativity, art, and music!
Cute art! I enjoyed the music as well.
Some thoughts:
The controls felt a bit floaty and imprecise. There was momentum that persisted after holding a direction which may be more physically accurate, but typically doesn't translate well to a shmup style game tha rely upon very tight controls. I'd recommend using transform translations for this style of game vs unity physics (rigidbody - add force stuff).
The secondary attack was a bit confusing. I wasn't sure how I should be using it, as colliding with an opponent in a shmup game typically means you will take damage. I had at least one time I used it and ended up taking damage. I think the concept of giving the enemy a "high five of death" is pretty sweet, just needs some better implementation. Perhaps instead of swapping weapons with E, the player holds down space to charge up and then when you release they shoot forward. I think this would feel better over all.
As others mentioned, the feedback on hitting enemies should be cranked up a bit to given the theme of the jam.
High points on creativity, art, and music!
I think it could use more impactful and punchy hits.
But it does have awesome art and music!
I love the hand and middle finger LOL
great art for the character, reminds me of a behomoth game (ie. castle crasher, alien hominid, etc.). In terms of game feel i felt like the character didn't feel particularly good to move around with, however, the shooting and animations are very nice.
Absolutly loved the visuals on that game ! The characters designs & animation is really top-notch !
The music also fit really well & give a great mood to the whole thing.
My only little complaint would be the absence of checkpoints. I died on the closing walls and it was really frustrating to start again all the way from the start.
Apart from that, really great work !
Super unique design here, its adorable and super imaginative. The gameplay is solid, I did manage to beat it! All the art assets are beautiful and I love the dichotomy between the shooting and the slap. My one critique is the character felt a bit like they were on ice while I was moving, this may be intentional but I think I would've preferred the movement a little tighter.
Great Entry!
A really unique character, lovely design! Love the animations and art. The controls feel a bit floaty, im not sure if that was intended but it felt off to me.
The animations look great! The game could use more feedback and the swat attack is a neat idea.
