To be honest I'm not much of a turn-based rpg guy, but the art style, animations, and being able to choose enemies/upgrades kept me going until the end. Nicely done. Sound definitely would've added a lot here, but that's how it goes sometimes

Also, one of the best implementations of the 'paying the price' theme I've seen so far

If it were paired with audio this would be a clear winner. The presentation is stunning. The colours, lines, and textures are beautiful, and the animations are timed well.

5/5 great game, played it the longest out of anything so far,  great job.  ofc very inspired by paper mario but it was very well executed especially considering the timespan of the jam. Also IDK if it is an issue on my end somehow but the game had no sound for me.

The art style is adorable, and great movement/animation. I'd love to play a full RPG game in this style. Seemed pretty hard and I died quickly - wasn't sure what items to pick, but perhaps I just didn't play enough. Nice!

Except few bugs its awesome.
Firstly bugs, after like 30 dmg, 10% def you don't get damage, you get 0 dmg (till I fought with marionette, I lost rock paper scissors and got 40 dmg).
Cost reduction doesn't work
With this outta way~
I love the art style, finishing , idea, "animation", gameplay it's all soo CUTE.
It's a bit sad that there aren't sounds and that you can't skip cutscene after death

It has good potential for expanding, more story, attacks, enemies :3

This is really beautiful ! The art style and animations are gorgeous and the game really matches the theme.

Here are the two bugs that I found:

  • at some point, received attacks stopped inflicting damages
  • attack cost never decreases
