Didn't expect a voice acted experience in this jam, definitely a welcomed surprise!
A little more interaction from the players side would've been nice, maybe pop out key words during the dialog or have choices of where the story goes and chose one by writing.
Overall nice submission!
Yeah I definitely think it would've been cool to add in some sort of options to add a bit more interactability but I just didn't have too much time for this jam. I started the last 3 days D: But definitely would've liked to flesh out more of the gameplay side of it if I had more time :). Appreciate you going through it :)
Really cool game, i love the typing mechanic and SFX is so good 👍😊
tyvm ;)
Cool minimal aesthetics and visuals! Voice actors are great. The typing at the intro was a little off-putting - having to type out credits felt a bit forced.
It’s overall a good experience but I didn’t play it all the way through. It’s very low on interactivity, and paired with the minimal visuals, it felt more like listening to an audio book. Maybe breaking the dialogue into shorter bits and more typing in between could have been more engaging?
Yeah I was a little worried that people would get tired of the typing bit. I know it's a typing game but I really wanted to make the game as accessible for the jam. if this was like a project that wasn't for a jam I think I would've been more confident leaning into more typing. But definitely would've wanted to explore more of how to flesh it out into an actual game if I had more time. But glad you thought it was good :)
I'm not sure what the concept is, type to hear AI generated conversations?
:( I wrote it. and those were real voice actors :(
Fun - Really cool concept for a minimalist approach to a narrative-style game! The writing was fantastic and it was a great experience all around
Theme -I think the theme was something like "Small world" because they bump into each other? I'll buy it
Aesthetics -Minimalist, which was really nice. That said - I would've loved a dark mode because playing this game at night was a bit much on the eyes.
Music - Aside from her singing Ariana Grande, I don't recall much music.
Sound -The sound was fantastic. Recordings and VO were extremely high quality. Very nicely done.
Mechanics -The typing mechanics were pretty simplistic, but fun for a bit. Reminded me of the old typing class days. I thought it would be interesting if players were able to type in words from a bank of words (or from scratch) and have certain words correspond to specific memories. Players could then listen to the audio and pull key words from the audio to type in and play those recordings, telling a story that evolves as they go. Check out Her Story for a similar mechanic!
Story -Touching, heartfelt, a real tearjerker. I loved it.
Overall -Really awesome experimental piece that deserves high marks for trying something new and succeeding! Well done!
Thank you very much for the detailed feedback on the project! Yeah I do feel like the GAME play side of the game was lacking a bit. Definitely something I would want to explore further if I continue this project. Dark mode definitely something I would like to explore too. I personally default to that on everything and I know most programmers do too. Thanks for the compliments :D
What a lovely story, wonderful voice acting and a unique and interesting way to present it!
tyvm :) glad you liked the story. First time really writing I'm glad the reception has been positive for it :D
The typing sound at the beginning was great. A lovely minimalist project—and by the way, your recording quality is really good too!
tyvm :) yeah the VA's had great equipment thanks for playing :)
I really enjoyed this game, being able to type out words while having story unfold was unique and kept me interested. I liked the UI and voice acting.
Thanks for checking out the game. Yeah I agree I thought the actors did a really great job!
Oh my goodness, this is sick! I love games like this! Amazing, amazing job you guys. What an experience. The acting is amazing, and the sound quality is out of this world. I can't stress how much I liked this.
Really really glad you liked it. Was worried it wasn't gonna hit but glad the reception for the game has been so positive. :D glad you liked the game!
almost didnt keep typing but I got there.. I was wondering if there would be anything past the typing test lol. It was nicely executed. Bit long on the typing
Lol yeah I feel you. I know typing games aren't for everyone. Thanks for getting through it :D
My favorite entry so far! The typing UI/UX was great, and the sound while typing was addicting. Pair that with a fun set of voice actors, just amazing.
Thank you :) yeah I think they did a really great job to
