The voice over, gameplay and controls all felt really tight and its well put together congratulations on great submission!

Developer

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it :-)

mission complete! I loved the feeling of that endless space, you nailed it - the night sky looked beautiful. and the shots felt fricking powerful - I see you put some effort into these. but the winner for me is sound: that music SLAPPED but even better was the computer voice - that was self made right? I mean f*** computers trying to act like people! people acting like computer is the real deal.
1 (hopefully) constructive criticism: the shooting and the flying both feel really good, but they don't really support each other as mechanics yet - it was easier (and more satisfying because faster) to fly through the starfield without shooting at all.

Developer

Thank you for the awesome feedback! I can't take credit for any of the cool stuff though - the music and the explosions were third party assets and the voice was AI generated using ElevenLabs, all I did was told it what to say! Very good point on the shooting vs flying, especially as there's no real benefit from increasing the score... something to think about!

A very fun entry. I like the twist on Asteroids. I usually prefer auto fire in these kinds of games, but that may make this one too easy. I also appreciate the the brief break during shield deployment, it gives our fingers a little rest between darting around the planets. And for anyone else reading this: don’t click the mouse, use the spacebar.

Developer

You finished it, awesome! Yes I realise now this needs some work with the firing - maybe not auto fire but perhaps some potential upgrades to the lasers or something. I'll have to try it with the spacebar actually, I only used the mouse in testing and yeah, wore my fingers out lol!

This was really fun to play! Like asteroids, but with an actual objective besides simply a highscore.

I'd say the highscore system is a little silly to have here, since it isn't used for much, but that's about the only thing I can really criticize. I was really hooked with this game! Couldn't stop playing until I had gotten all the planets. 10/10!

Developer

wow you played until the end, awesome :-) I wasn't sure I would do anything besides the core asteroids game at the start of the game so the scoring was added at the beginning so there was at least something to do if I couldn't add in the planet stuff :-)

This was really smooth and so much fun. Love the visual style and the sounds here. Really impressive in such a short time - great work.

Great visuals and audio. I had a lot of fun just shooting meteors, then realized I was supposed to follow the arrow to the planet.  The credits button at the end doesn't seem to open anything up.  This has a lot of possibilities.

Developer(+1)

Ahh the credits run a sequence in the main text panel but if you didn't have the sound on, it's easily missed. Sadly it was all I had time to do with the credits!

Either way great game!

Just about destroyed my mouse with the number of times I just clicked haha. I had a good time, and it left me wanting a more, would be nice to see some more variety or maybe some sort of powerups of some sort.

Developer(+1)

Lol yes sorry about that! When I properly playtested it today I had the same issue and thought, damn I need either better guns or an autofire, but I had only a couple of hours left sadly. Thanks for the suggestions, good ideas! :-)

The voice over was amazing. However you did that bravo!

Developer

Thank you, I can't take any real credit - it was AI generated through ElevenLabs!

Excellent little game and very polished.  Nice graphics and sound choices.  The voice instructions are excellent way to explain the controls. The movement speed and inertia are nicely balanced.

Only suggestions are I didn't get any sense of time pressure, maybe if you don't get to the planets in time they could get destroyed?  Other ideas are a trade off between power to shields v guns v thrusters much like the old X-wing Star Wars games.
I really had fun flying around though, great work!

Developer

Thank you very much for the feedback! I hadn't really thought about time pressure to be honest, but that actually makes a lot of sense!

Controls feel really smooth! Maybe add shield indicator around spaceship? Great job!

Developer(+1)

Yes that's an idea I was toying with, but sadly I didn't get time! Maybe, after the jam I can add it! Thank you for the feedback :-)

A fun and polished game i cleared the first few planets.

On the left side you can see your hp dont hit too many asteroids :D and when i travel fast and shoot i can see when the laser disappears, the speed of the laser should have been faster.

Developer

Ahh thank you for the feedback regarding the laser!
