Really fun little experience! I love Frecko's design and animations, especially the one at the end. Looked fantastic! Great effect on the tongue snapping on to things too.  The rest of the art and music made for a great laid back vibe. Great work!

There's a constraint on how far the ants can knock the player, but unity likes to ignore it. xD

The grappling hook in this game is a little awkward, but it makes the climbing easy.

The ending is really worth seeing. Great job!

I like the animation at the end here you turn into  something else for a second. the swinging definitely has Spider-Man vibes.

This game looks great, and that Frecko has a FREAKISHLY long tongue ;P
Luckily that helps a lot in this game.
I did have a couple of instances where I was unable to shoot my tongue. Not sure if that was because it could not reach anything to grab onto. The tongue animation could have been a bit faster for my taste too for just a bit more snappy gameplay.

But overall, great gob on a super cute game !

Yeah there's some trickery with the raycast that doesn't like looking through the platform colliders.
We're all a bunch of artist that are super new to unity so we couldn't figure it out in time for the game jam. xD

Well done!. Loved the style and gameplay. It was tricky to reach the top but made it, those stinging ants... 😝

Ha! That's awesome. What's the thing that took you the longest to get working? Ours was trying to get the character to swing while they were grappled. I spent way too many hours trying to get that function to work.

Grappling mechanics were definitely the toughest part. I had to try several methods to get it to work properly.

Sammmeee I eventually found a tutorial on youtube that helped a lot, but it was super frustrating trying to get it to work.

Frecko is cute, the art style is cute too! love the color combinations. the game mechanics is super cool too. managed to finish the game in 2 swings hehe. Maybe limit the tongue length, and swing reach in between mushrooms in order to experience the entire journey upward.

I'm going to see if I can fix the tongue issue. There's a constraint on it, but for whatever reason unity likes to ignore it. I think it has something to do with the physics cuz it'll just sling shot you 100mph up... I'm still new to unity and deving so I wasn't able to figure it out for the game jam, but I'll keep messing with it.

Fun game,  the music is cool and the art is very cute. Could use a limit to the tongue lenght, cause right now you can just point straight up and skip all the platforming :P

Thanks for the comments! Yeah, I've been trying to figure out how to fix that bug, but I can't seem to figure it out. There's a tongue length constraint, but for whatever reason the physics will skip it if you click just right. I'm still super new to unity and game deving. ;o;

I see no story and already seen mechanics in the game which can probably be worked on and improved. Good luck!

ps. I passed it in a few click, by pointing my tongue at the top always. Maybe decrease the length of the tongue? :)

Thanks for the comments! Yeah there's a tongue length constraint, but unity likes to forget about it when you hit the mouse angle just right. I'm super new to unity and deving so I can't figure out how to fix it at the moment.
