Cool game, I had a lot of fun reaching the top!
Thanks so much for playing!
Pretty fun, I enjoyed swinging and I adore the art style, especially Frecko. I found it really easy to accidentally click outside of the screen when going for a mushroom, but that was only a problem outside of full screen mode. Good job :)
Thank you for playing! yeah I wasn't expecting that issue when building the game cuz I was also accidentally clicking outside the window too.
Nice game! It was little hard to catch the mashrooms since the charecter fell too fast, but the idea is great and it was fun to play :)
Thanks so much for playing! c:
The character animations were amazing! I had a lot of fun swinging around, I made it all the way up!
Thanks so much for playing! <3
My Cheeks where mighty clenched as as I got closer and close to the top. I did beat it and had quite a time doing it. I am a sucker for any game that includes a grapple hook and was a big fan of the aesthetics as well. Great Work!
Thank you! Yeah it gets tricky there at the end because of how spaced out the mushrooms are. Some of them you can barely see until you jump in that direction. I thought about moving them closer, but you're almost at the end so there needs to be some amount of difficulty. :p
I like that "getting over it" falling back to start difficulty. also grab mechanic was a nice idea, and well executed one. Liked it a lot. Nice job!
Thanks so much! <3
I'm a sucker for games with grappling mechanics so this was a joy to play! Very fun!
Thanks! The grappling still needs work, but none of use are coders so I'm learning as I go along.
I love frog games ;)
Thank you!
Liked how the tutorial was embedded in the start of the level, made it very easy to grasp. Swinging felt a bit weird (Frecko seemed to ignore physics, but I understand it as it couldn't attend school... or can it?) , but as a person who is bad at platformers, I was glad I could somehow control it.
The art and music is lovely.
Overall you guys did a good job!
Thanks so much! Yeah I'm not really a coder so I'm learning on the fly. The grapple still needs work, but we're happy with what we were able to do in the short amount of time.
Really fun concept. I like the mechanics of the sticking and swinging. The swinging feels like you can cheat a little, which is okay -- I like to break a game. Also, good look to the game and great music. Nicely done and thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much! Yeah the grappling needs more work, but we're happy with what we were able to do in such a short time.
Classic grappling mechanic, who doesn't love that :D It could use some polish though as others suggested. It's a bit weird that the frog can freely move straight horizontally instead of in a circular motion. I fell from a really high place once and it instantly reminded me of Getting Over It, fun times xD
yeah I'm learning unity and couldn't figure out how to get the grapple to do exactly what I wanted, but maybe in version 2.0 I'll have it figured out.
Thanks for the feedback! c:
Nice and fun game! I made it to the end to see character evolve! The motion felt good, but I think one thing that could improve it would be inhibiting the player from moving away from the swing point (It sometimes was able to stretch very far horizontally after latching on). Good job!
Yes, the physics for the grapple aren't where I want them to be, but it was our first game jam so I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out.
Thanks for the feedback!
