Really great concept and some cool level design. Great job!
Really unique concept, the switching of perspectives added a lot to the platforming gameplay, would definitely like to see the mechanic within bigger games
Very clever perspective bending platforming. I was only just starting to get the hang of things and then it was over.
I have to wonder how crazy of a party was had to leave all these boxes floating in the air (and moving around!)
The gameplay is solid, the presentation needs polish but there's only so much which can get done in the time frame of a game jam. :)
Thanks! I enjoyed your game as well
I think the idea itself is great, I've seen some submission with a similar style, but this went a bit further into it in my opinion. Obviously also generating some more difficulty.
I have to be honest the last level I just pressed Q & E to see if I got boxes in front of me that went higher and followed that path. My perception skill wasn't high enough to completely get the path by just zooming out! But nevertheless it was a fun challenge.
Some polishing and work and this could actually be turned into a puzzle game that would for sure great a nice audience to it, instead of just being a "find the item" kind of game. But this has puzzle elements already for sure, but something more than just finding the next platform by switching view would elevate it to the next level in my opinion! :)
Thanks! Yes, it would have been good to add more puzzle elements, such as switches to turn on the moving platforms if I had the time.
I thought this idea was very inventive. There have been other submissions similar to this idea. But I've noticed everyone has a slight twist on it. I think your implementation on this idea was really well done. I do think the last level had a lot going on and because of that it was a little difficult to understand what was going on. But still had fun and completed it :)
Thanks -. I enjoyed your game too
One of my fav so far! Was quite fun when I thought it was just switch from 2d to 3d, but then changing the camera views to see each angle different was great. Great game
Well done, great concept, well executed.
Nice job! I really enjoyed switching back and forth between the dimensions, it felt really smooth. The story is fun too!
Hi, congrats on your game! :) Great game idea. I just think it would be a good addition to perhaps use different colors for the boxes. That way, the player could better understand where he is in the game. Many times, I felt a bit confused about my position in the level
If you have some spare time, please try out my game. It's a classic space shooter from the 80s but with a personal touch. Please leave your honest feedback.
nice work, tutorial is very clear, and the idea is fun :)
Enjoyed it a lot. Really well put together. The difficulty curve was a bit steep but I still had a lot of fun with it.
Hey there, I enjoyed your game. Clever concept, well executed, right in line with the theme. And very well tutorialized.
I'd suggest you have the player always sprint because I think the appeal of your game lies in solving the puzzle and not in nailing the platforming action. Also I think doing a camera rotating trick in 2D like Fez pulled off would give clarity to the object's orientation in space.
Thanks for the game!
I really like your puzzle idea. Great job!
Hey, like the idea a lot, it was fun, but really difficult the last level hahaha, nice game!!!!
Interesting game, it reminds me of "Crush" on PSP and 3DS. To be honest I found the mechanics really confusing though, I have no idea how I beat the final level. Was the 3D view even needed at some point? Maybe different colors and visible rotations when pressing Q/E would help with the orientation.
Thanks for the feedback. I just Googled crush and it does seem similar - and there was me thinking I had come up with an original idea! and yes, if I had more time to design levels there would have been more use of the 3D aspect,
Well, I can still congratulate you on coming up with the idea yourself :)
I really like the puzzles in the game and the art style good work on that. would you try out mine and rate it according.
Okay so this is the game I imagined doing when I first saw the theme and I just couldnt wrap my head around it. Still can´t, I´m too stupid :D. But great job, certainly :D
Really cool game this. I like the seamless transition between the 2 planes and the puzzles are a good play on perspective. Must have made designing the levels a nightmare :)
Nice mechanics!!! Must have been hard to make them work as you'd like. Im curious on how you acoomplished them.
Thanks! The mechanics for flattening the view wasn't that difficult. You just need to change the projection on the camera to orthographic and then extend the size of the colliders on the platforms and pick up objects in the direction the camera is facing. To determine the player position when switching back to 3D you can use a RayCast from just below the camera position to see which object the player should be standing on. I was pleasantly surprised when I tried it and it worked first time.
Oh nice pretty smart thanks for the explanation.
A great little mind-bending puzzler. Loved it.
Cheers - I loved your game too.
