I love the artwork on this. The game looks gorgeous and it feels fun to play. I really like the movement system and the healing/upgrades and such. Well done!

Really nice game! Loved the design and the little biology lesson really didn't hurt xd

Congratulations!

Wow! This game was so much fun! I actually could not stop playing it. The mechanics were smooth, music was great, and I loved the art work. I really enjoyed the narration made the game more engaging.

One of the best games in my opinion. Nice take on the theme. You guys created a wonderful  game. Also voice actor quality was pretty good.

Game is lagging in my browser, and I am having a gray screen. Can you make a Windows build, please, I really want to play it.

Developer

Sorry to hear that; will look into getting a windows build up soon so you can have a go!

This is great. I think it's the highest production values I've seen in this jam for sure.  Everything is so well done. Outstanding work.

I've got a game myself that I'd like to ask to try and rate if you have the time. I'm interested to hear you and your team's thoughts if you're able to. Thank you!

Great job! Very enjoyable game and one of the more polished ones I've seen. It would have been cool to be able to move around with the mouse so you could move in any direction. I noticed I could move around with my gamepad which felt really nice but I don't think I could dash or shoot.

Developer

Thanks for the comment! We tried something along these lines (always swim in pointer direction), but as a team we felt like the movement system in place was more satisfying. A gamepad integration is definitely ion the post game jam todo list :)

Good job! relaxing and adictive, it felt really polished.

So much to love about this experience. Music and Sound were both on point. Full voice-over was a luxury (but subtitles would have been a great addition!). I loved the little flowy tendrils on Dendi. Overall, I think the graphical style works and along with the slick effects, you've built a swimming, dreamy atmosphere. Add more abilities and cell types and I think this could be a fantastic educational tool for youngsters. Well done.

Developer

We got the narration working in the game with 4 hours to spare and many bugs still to fix; one feature we want is to dip the music volume when a narration clip plays. On the Todo after the voting period ends ;) Subtitles might also be a way to go. We have quite a few UI text elements, so we would have to make sure these don't overlap with the subtitles.

Honestly one of the most atmospheric and polished games out here. The team really knew what they were doing and delivered. I could say some parts were frustrating, mainly finding the final element but those are really minor things.

A detail I really liked is how we can find rocks that got rammed into the body, probably just dust but for us gargantuan spikes :D

Game gave me Kurzgesagt vibes

Developer(+1)

Thank you! You only have to find 18 out of 20 elements :D

But if you miss a few, it can be challenging to know where you have to go back and look...

The kurzgesagt book "Immune" was on my desk throughout this project ;)

Very good entry in general. I like the educational aspects. I wish it had full controller support. (or maybe mine is just not working right? I could move with the joystick but nothing else.) The animation was great and the art direction is top notch. I wish I had more time to play it.

Developer

Sorry yeah it doesn’t have full controller support. Was one of the things that had to go by the wayside for the sake of time. Will definitely add it after the jam is over though!

Glad you liked it :)

This is so far the best game I've played this jam. It almost feels like a metroidvania! The polish is also very on point as it felt satisfying doing every action. Extremely impressive entry.

Developer

You’re indeed correct, the level design is metroidvania inspired!

Glad you liked it :)

Cute art style and overall looks like the most finished/polished game that ive seen on this jam so far. Especially gameplay speaking. Props to the team, amazing work for such a short period. Notice only one minor visual bug with the fast-sharp-(headed???) enemy doubling it sprite and flickering after i space him.

Developer

Thank you for the comment! Yes we also had this issue a few times; though only very seldom. We think it is because a slight frame drop causing the enemy to never reach it's target position; resulting in the flicker.

Submitted(+1)

This happened to me after every time it tried to charge me and missed. Maybe that helps to track down the issue?

I play with very nice art, the use of particles is art

This is really great! Sound and music fits perfectly, and I'm in love with the movement, so smooth and satisfying. Great job guys!
