Fun little game! Nice graphics and audio and I feel my typing speed got at least 5% faster!

Submitted

What an awesome game! Nice visuals+audio, they work well together. I got hooked unfortunately so I need to go now and type a few more words, bye :D

Cool game - as with most gacha games it's addictive and will take a while to beat it!

If I could make a suggestion: please please fix the mirrored + upside down words hanging around for so long. Even if I wait them out, they remain that way for my next life. I'm an oldschool touch-typist (with emphasis on the old) but when they're double wrong I just couldn't read the pixel font :)

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! I will look into revamping the typing game and fixing the issue that makes it impossible for words to be read once the jam is over.

The double mirrored words (X and Y axis) were intended however, as long as you have a moment to see the whole word(mirrored or not).
Another direction I might go with is adding different difficulty levels that gives different prizes for the mini games, so one of them could be the "classic" typing game, and the switching around mirrored stuff will be under "hard" or something along that line.

Thank you for you feedback!

Lmao, what a cool game! I was pleasantly surprised with it from the first moments. You can easily expand it and release it for Nintendo or mobile. GJ :)

Developer

Thank you for your kind words. I do have a strong inclination of expanding this to mobile - look forward to it :)

Quite addictive game! I tried to surpass myself a few times. When completed would be a lot better.

Developer

Thank you for playing! definitely, you can check the devlogs for future features I have in plan for the game :)

I haven't played a game like this before but I gotta say this is very addictive lool.

excellent choice of music and pixel art. I got the best mood and vibe from just waiting in the menu. and the pets were absolutely Cute lol.

Awesome work, 5 stars.

Developer

Thank you and glad you enjoyed the game! The main pixel art is from https://pixelfrog-assets.itch.io/

Wow this game looks visually amazing! Love all of the UI functionality. I've always liked typing games so that was a fun mini-game and I get the sense you're planning on adding more mini-games too. I was a bit confused about how to open the boxes at first but I got it eventually. Great work on the jam!

Developer

Thank you for playing! I am reworking some of the UI, but since 95% of my game is just UI polish, I don't feel it's fair for me to make more polish for this jam. And yes, definitely more mini games :) - look forward to the post-jam version!

This is a really unique and creative game, great take on the theme of the jam as well. I highly suggest you make this in to a real product and I think you will do very well with it as an education tool.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing! I am looking into getting this game into Mobile so stay tuned :)

Submitted

I really got caught in it.

Developer

Glad you had fun then! :)

Pretty fun typeracing game, had fun trying to get some of the words, a suggestion I have is to have the restart button binded (If it already wasn't) so that you can quick restart the game, for example by pressing R after getting a game over screen maybe you can quick restart the game, fun game nonetheless!

Developer

Thank you for playing! It is already set to [tab] to immediately restart the game but I should put that somewhere on the screen so people know!

I really liked that minigame!  Speed typing is not easy for me, but I had a lot of fun with it!  A game you can play with your kids, so that's a plus for me.   Good work!  I expect more minigames in the future!

Developer

Thank you for playing and that's awesome that your kids are playing it too :) !

Love the idea, thought it all worked really well (apart from not getting the Gatcha button thing at first). Would love to see some more mini games as my touch typing sucks, but that is a me issue!!

Well done great idea, great exectuion!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing and yes, will be adding more minigames hopefully, with some sort of achievement as well!

Submitted

very well done game, I'm highly impressed!

A good level of game design, everythings fits together and is very polished.

I really like the fact, that you can continue the game at any time, I really need to know how you did this :)

Good job!!!!

Developer

Thank you for playing the game and your kind words! Glad you had fun :)

If you mean the SaveLoad system, I followed this tutorial - with a little bit of tweaking to use BinaryReader and BinaryWriter instead of the no-longer-recommended BinaryFormatter . I'm not sure if this is the best way, but it works for what I needed for this game. Feel free to DM me if you have any questions!

Impressive, first brain game I've seen so far. Very polished.

I liked it :)

Very good job :)

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing the game!

Submitted

Well done, I quite enjoyed it. Probably because it is something completely else and very polished. Good job!

Developer

Thank you for playing the game and glad you enjoyed it!

Interesting game. For a while the typing is fun (I run 200+ characters per minute, so having the shifting and turning words is fun). only after reading Peter's comment I saw the added stats in the inventory :D.  In all, nice implementation, solid, can't image that you actually did the idea and all in 2 weeks. Gacha'm all.

Developer

Thanks for playing the game! certainly will add more clarity regarding the "equip" mechanic in the future.

Me and my mate are a huge fan of gacha games in general, so the underlying game design and concept was pretty quick for us to come up with. Putting it together to use the theme and making sure the moving parts all fits together was challenging but a lot of fun!

Submitted

Great job. Interesting game, and has a hook to keep you wanting to play for more.
took me a while and some help figuring out how to open a box though :D, i didn't realise the "gatcha" thing was a button :D.

Also didn't realise for a bit that things i selected in my inventory was benefitting me in game :D.

nice work, well done.

Developer

Thank you for playing the game and your feedback! You're not the first person to get confused by the names and the lack of "equip" visuals for your inventory , I will definitely change it in future updates to make it clearer!

I love this game, I actually love it alot, ive been playing for an hour now because of those collectibles... The game is very challenging and i love typing games
Keep developing this, its very polished, 5 STAR review from me!

Developer

Thank you for playing the game and for your kind words! I am planning on adding more mini games so people don't get tired playing the typing game!

Submitted

Very fun game! My fingers hurt :P
The collectibles was a very good idea, its a good motivation to complete the game 100%.
Also thumb ups for the save system!

Definetely a game that would be appealing on mobiles.

Developer

As I mentioned in discord as well, thank you for playing the game and I'm glad you had fun!
