The game reminds me of Minesweeper, but with Minesweeper, numbers/points indicate how close you may be to a mine. It would be good to give the player visual clues to monsters based on facial animations. This suggestion is based on your creative use of animation for these block objects. I liked how hovering my mouse over them caused them to give me a bigger smile. Nevertheless, the objective of the game is clear, and it was fun to see how far I could go predicting the correct/innocent cubes. Great job!
fun concept, nice set up, and I had fun for a while playing through the levels. Reminds me a bit of minesweeper, with guessing random blocks. But it could have done with a little more in the way of clues (like minesweeper has). I did start to guess that if the monster didn't eat any block, then those next to it were ALL monsters also, which was a hint.
Well done to getting this game out there and done in the 2 weeks!
Fun and tricky. Great submission. Love the art and the audio, just needs music.
Like the monster very much. I had to play a few games to understand it (even with reading the game page), but when I understood it had fun guessing. However: I can agree with some others before me: it would be great to have something more than just a random luck game. But jam theme is spot one for me :)
This a pretty awesome little game that I could see being great on mobile and tablets for kids. The logo looks amazing and the block monsters look great. Just add some music and its basically good to go. I played it on my livestream tonight you could check out a replay anytime
Such a fun, amazing game, definitely a great entry!! I agree with Bixarrio, it is based on luck, but once you figured it out, it's quite a bit easier and really enjoyable..
This is a great game! I struggled to understand the fail state, but otherwise I had good fun with this. Once I realized monsters can’t eat other monsters, strategy kicked in and I started to really enjoy it. Fits the theme perfectly, well done!
If I were you, I’d try to get rid of the last bit of luck and release this as a mobile game. It has potential
I like the overall look and design of this. Would be nice if there was more strategy to it instead of being entirely luck-based.
Nice game, does what is expected... too heavily luck based for me.
Maybe you could add some development to give the player a clue?
Simple enough to play though and enjoyable.
nice simple game with good visuals! I like that the evil ones don't eat other evil ones so it gives us some info. I think if you can add some more mechanics to the game it will be great!
Also at the end game, the game bugged out when I pressed quit/restart because it also clicked a block behind it.
The visuals are really cool!
I can't get very far, is it all based on luck? Or is there a way to find out which are the blocks of evil without dying?
It's good, beautiful... But I didn't understand if there's some sort of logic to see who are good or bad
The design is pretty good! I like the gameplay bus is a little bit cofunse for me, we can loose so fast hahaa
Is everything random or is there some logic behind who's monster and which can I save. I'm stuck on level 2 and I can't complete it.
I love the visuals though :)
I also got stuck on level 2. The game may be trying to reference something that is no longer there. The concept was solid though.
