The game looks nice but i couldn t figure out how to complete the tutorial because the asteroid just dissapeared before i could ve destroyed it

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing.

The asteroid prob. Got pushed outside the layout, did not encount for that.

It's great! Nice sound effects and plane design too.
The plane’s movement feels a bit too slow for me, and the turret movement as well.

Thanks for playing.

If you crank up the balance of loot, it goes a lot faster.

Stream of consciousness went

"whaaa"

"oh okay this is like the slowest round of Sinistar I've ever played where it takes 5 minutes to get a sinibomb and the old guy isn't around going I HUUNGER" (remember I'm an old man who was in the Golden Age of Arcade)

"the voiceovers give this superior plot-driven-ness. "

"oh look a Star Destroy---" *THE END*

yeah anyway this thing is incredible and I can feel the high effort going into it.

Well done, I say.

Gave you an itch follow, if you like what you see on my page consider doing the same.

Im glad to hear you liked the voice overs (though they are AI generated)

I did have a lot of fun building the story about nomad 62 and overall the race behind it, though its not told in the game itself, but it a nomadic marauder tribe where everything is earned, or rather taken by force.

It's a good job of them they don't sound robotic or forced. :)

And with that, time draws late lol I head to bed.

We'll see who else chimes back in the A.M after rating like 20 so far... it's the most ratings I've done for a jam in a few months and it's my big first programming jam just like for music compositions that OST Comp Jam #7 by LoneRabbit last July was my big entry into Itch proper as just a musician (Life of Rixlor was the submit).

interesting space game and i mostly agreed with  snekky-studios  about guns and strategy.

I’ll also add that it would be helpful to have markers showing where the turrets are currently aiming, since they take some time to rotate toward the cursor.

Developer

Thanks for playing.

Good and valuable feedback, and yeah would prob. Be a good idea. The manual aiming were implemented as one of the last things, after playtesting. So did not get it refined.

interesting game. The guns get a bit repetitive and the controls on the ship make it difficult to navigate smoothly. I found that the best strategy when fighting pirates is to just stay still and shoot them when they come near, since the ship has so much more life than they do. Would be nice to see more weapon types and more responsive controls.

Developer

Thanks for playing.

Appriciate the feedback, now i got something to improve upon.

The controls of the game makes the size of the ship "feelable". I like the gfx and the integration of the theme by balancing the loot distribution. Gives it i pirate-like atmosphere :)

Good job!

Developer

Thanks for playing.

Happy it gave you the feel and vibe i was going for,  and you felt like a pirat, if only for a brief moment. 😎

I don't see the connection with the jam theme, maybe the balance in using loot?

Developer(+1)

balance the allocation of the loot.

more = makes the selected crew more efficient.

Less = makes them less efficient until completly stop working.

As also explained in the game and the text under the game.
