excellent sound design, I was constantly going back to check the door every time I heard a shuffling or jingling, very spooky.

When you upload to itch I would add the option to allow the full screen button, it was a little weird playing in the small window and my cursor didn't want to move the camera correctly. Not much there in terms of gameplay, but you successfully made a 3d world that can be walked around in and an end state so congrats!
thanks a lot! I processed the images using a custom dithering program I wrote https://github.com/johnconwell/dither you can research “temporal dithering” to learn more
Here's ICONOEXORCIST if you want to take a look. https://snekky-studios.itch.io/iconoexorcist
Its a very short hidden-object-like game. There's not much in terms of gameplay, so I tried. to focus on atmosphere.
I'm using this jam to try out a new CLI dithering/image processing tool I've developed over the past few months. I am not an artist, so the idea is to take generic photographs and drawings and give them a horror aesthetic, Here are some results so far:
https://imgur.com/a/swQlFwWincredible. The static effect is perfect for this resolution. The sound design, and the fade in/fade out of the river, forest sounds, etc. add a huge amount of tension. It is pretty easy to get lost and go in circles, which starts out kind of adding to the mood of the game but gets a little tedious after a while
Thanks for playing! I'm not sure what you mean. You should be able to summon the man at any time by right-clicking. I did run into a few bugs where he took a second or two to get started after clicking.
Edit: I think I know what you mean. You can left-click again to turn the sand off and summon the man before the sand runs out.
Thanks for playing! A failure is triggered when the game determines you have no valid square to go to, and the character can't jump gaps or overcome obstacles more than a single pixel high, so my guess is you ran into one of those scenarios. Or maybe you stumbled onto a bug that I did not encounter!
Not sure if I was doing something wrong, but I picked up a package and then could not interact with anything. I could not find the purple NPC, so I am assuming that it would not let me do other tasks until I finished delivering mail. It would be nice to be able to cancel a task so you are not stuck on it.
