This is pretty epic! Nice platforming action. I managed to make it to stage 5, although honestly only by jumping over (instead of killing) most baddies on the previous stage. Waiting for your shot to power-up took a bit too long I think (especially as it was essential) but the level design was nice, it ran fast, the graphics were superb and with a little more work with would be truly awesome :)

Very solid platformer game. Is fun to play and looks very consistent. I was a bit wondering about the button choice for shooting. As you control anything with the keyboard I would also put fire on the keyboard (for example ENTER, which is also close to SHIFT). If you do mouse shooting, then I would also allow aiming with the mouse. Additionally, I think it would be cool to have the ability to duck shots.
Congratulations to this game!
Nice game! Got to the 5th stage. Pretty nice platformer with cool assets
Hi!
Made it to the 5th stage! Well, I chose the tactic - don't hit and run, just run :).
There are also visible lines on the map, I assume that this is for better game debugging, or it is a feature :).
It would be nice to be able to turn the music on/off if there is one.
Nice game, congratulations!
Pretty nice platformer. I'd say one thing that annoyed me though is that it's using the mouse for attack, even though the aim is not directional, so it could have just been a key.
I was trying to shoot the enemies at first, but figured out I could just run through all the levels. I died at the boss though.
Good game!
Couple of visual bugs, but graphics, stage design and animations are on point!
Cool, old school aesthetic, both sound and grafics. Love the character choice.
Good work.
Brawl power for the win!!, amazing skills with phaser to do a platformer like this one. congrats!
Awesome game! I can definitely agree with the other comments about a Megaman feel on the NES. Was that your inspiration? Did you source your assets or create them yourself? Congrats on your entry!
Thanks!
I wanted to have a robot character that could switch between 3 forms… by scrolling on itch.io free game assets a found this : https://maidenlessduck.itch.io/robotbasepack (source in game and on game page)
It fitted perfectly with my idea + the tiles were also perfects for making some levels ! (I must admit that I got issues to animate the MC, it took a lot of time and you can see some animation errors in game)
Graphics are really cool and nice music. Has some great megaman vibes.
The fight felt a bit unoptimized since dodging enemies and using only charged attacks - rendering normal attacks inefficient made the gameplay a bit limited.
I read in other comment you mentioned you wanted to include upgrades for the scores. That could balance it out. Keep it up!
The animations in this are so cool and well done. I enjoyed the brief story as well! I noticed some visual bugs but was still able to enjoy the game. I am really impressed this was built in phaser. I was working on getting a charge bar to follow my player character too but I couldn't figure it out. Great work!
Thanks !
For the bar the tip is to set its position by the player position like (player.x, player.y-10), and to update its position with the player.
I had difficulties stabilizing the position of the bar with the animations because the sprite changes size. And with the deadline approaching, I didn’t have time to make my spaghetti code reliable, haha.
Very nostalgic reminiscent of megaman and metroid, good job all in all!
