  • The mix of Asteroid and an evil wizard makes this game clever due to the wizard's comments. If you want to be surprised by the wizard's antics, this is your game. Dodge the enemies or destroy them, but the important thing is to find the wizard to answer his crazy questions. It would be interesting to have a version with more polished controls since they lock up when pressing two directions at the same time, and it would also be nice to have a less difficult game.

I miss the diagonal movement. but good game, well done :)

Developer (1 edit)

Thanks for playing my game! I hope you not only move, but also passed the levels ;).

Interesting little shoot em up. I feel like a gradient grey or textured background instead of the black background would help show players which direction they were moving in when they had a couple of enemies left.

Developer

Thanks for playing my game! I hope you not only shot, but also passed the levels ;). Interesting notes on improvements, thanks!

I like the little quotes in between the powerups, really motivating. Good use of the wizard emoji, I always knew he was up to no good.

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thanks for playing my game! Once, at one of the competitions, I saw the use of emoji as the main graphics on which a number of games were developed. Given my capabilities of graphic primitives, I really liked the idea of using emoji as one of the possible equal elements of graphics, so I thought of using them :). Regarding the wizard - totally agree, be careful!

GREAT GAME!! although the bullets are coming from everywhere and i died many times

Developer

Thanks for playing my game! As for the bullets... they are released by one of the enemy types, namely the triangle. As the game progresses, the number of enemies and their attack speed increase proportionally + some randomness. Also, you may be very unlucky, in which case you will always have the maximum allowable number of enemies with the fastest possible attacks :D. I agree that we cannot do without deaths, otherwise it would be too simple ;).

It was interesting to see each power revealed after the levels. It would be nice to see this game with polished graphics and audio in the future. Well done.

Thanks for playing my game! I'm glad you were interested! I specifically chose this direction in particular to try to create something minimalistic in terms of graphics and music, but actually I was going to add some sound effects but I ran out of time :). My graphic ceiling is graphic primitives, so I wanted to demonstrate in particular the possibility of making a game with minimal graphics :).

Great work!. I liked the philosophical route you took for the theme, the level design is also amazing, having a relevant mechanic in each level related to the type of power you want to explain to the player is cool.

Developer (1 edit)

Thanks for playing my game! It's great to hear that you appreciated the concept of the game, as I intended it! Hope you enjoyed :).

I like how each level ends with a different kind of power!

Developer

Thanks for playing my game! I'm glad you liked it :).

Simple game, cool

Played it till finish. Really nice blend of humour and gameplay, and although the bullets were a bit fast I overall enjoyed it!

Developer

Thanks for playing the game to the end! Who but a developer knows what joy it is when your game is played to the end :). I agree about the bullets, but as the wizard said, you are only mortal ;). I hope you didn't miss the end (hidden) scene with the conversation with the wizard ;). Glad you enjoyed :).

hilarios, loved it

Nice, old retro vector style look.
Though the enemy bullets are way too fast to be reacted upon as the enemy shoots from the very edge when appearing and you just run to the bullet before being able to dodge it.
Also the lack of diagonal movement really hinders the playability.

I REALLY liked the later levels though and the humour was spot on <3

100%

Played it through

Thanks for playing my game! I hope you saw the hidden scene after completing the game 100% :).

I agree that the battle is difficult and probably needs better balancing, but there was so much more I wanted to do, and I ended up handing it in a couple of minutes before finishing :). Diagonal movement has been haunting me for a long time, but I successfully hide from it :D.

My game consists of two main parts: shooting for fun and humor for laughs, and I'm glad if someone found it funny!

Its really good! However i think its a bit hard. Maybe there could be some indication when the enemies shoot. But overall its a great game!

Developer

Thanks for playing my game!

Perhaps it was worth adding a short guide about the types of enemies, or adding them to the initial training scene, but training is what training is, training is different from the battlefield :).

The difficulty of the battle increases with the passage of the game, the wizard said that he will prevent you from looking for the answer to the question ;). There is random enemy generation, so you may or may not be lucky :), unfortunately I didn't have much time to test it, but I guess it's better to be difficult than easy to keep the interest :), in any thank you for your feedback!

Nice simple game! It reminded me of the old Asteroid game plus the scrolling. Money can't buy happiness, it can however rent it.

Developer

Thanks for playing my game!

I hope you played more than one level, the further you go through the game, the funnier it is for me, the first level of interactivity is the least :).

Regarding happiness - no comments :D.

This is definitely a very weird game. I'm not really sure how to describe or categorize it, but I will say that it was interesting at least, and at least somewhat entertaining to play.

I'm not really sure what the meaning of it is, if there is one. Good job submitting this entry though!

Thanks for playing my game and for your feedback - I appreciate it!

I'm glad you took so much time to finish my game! If it makes a little more sense, it starts with you going to answer a wizard's question, and after the adventure ends, this scene makes it clear that even though you were looking for an answer to the question, you don't know what to answer, so the wizard decides to ask another question, thereby making it clear about the possibility of a continuation, namely the next 2nd part already with another question :).

Very interesting game, confusing but intriguing. Well done. I enjoyed the weirdness of it all.

Your game has a interesting idea and concept ! I really enjoy the game, Although when i spawn, enemys spawned on me so i got spawned killed. But overall i really like the idea of the game + the game was very intereseting ! 👍👍 :D

Developer (1 edit)

You are here :). Glad you had fun! As for player spawning, I gave it a safe zone where no enemies can spawn, most likely you die from a bullet, as there is a range of randomness at which interval the rangers can shoot, and if unlucky, the ranger frequency will be too high, and that means a lot of bullets in your direction :). But maybe it really was crossed at the appearance, as you could see from the credits, there was no tester in the team :D.

I hope you tried to complete the game completely, there are 9 levels :D.

P.S.
But there is a nuance, if the game window is small, then the appearance of enemies is limited to the visible camera, that is, the game screen and the player's safe zone, in this case, the enemies will have nowhere to appear as soon as they are closer to the player, violating his personal space). But this is a completely different story :D.

I like the effect when we destroy the enemies (but it doesn’t always happen.) I wish we had more than 1 HP, because it’s very difficult. The “imagination power” joke made me laugh, good one.

Developer (2 edits)

Thanks for playing my game!

As for the effect of killing enemies, at the moment there are 3 types of enemies, where one of them is kamikadze bombers, who after a certain time blow themselves up, trying together with you :), so when the screen shakes, it's because the kamikadze bomber blew up), I hope now it's a little clearer.

There are 9 levels. I agree that it's hard to get to them through a wizard army, so you're may bound to lose a few times), it all depends on randommess and skill. You're a mortal, not a wizard ;)

If you liked some of levels, maybe you would like the next ones too, so suddenly what, I recommend :).

Your game is fantastic and a lot of fun to play! Great job on creating such an enjoyable experience

Developer

Thanks for playing my game! I'm so glad you had fun playing! After completing the entire game, there is a hidden scene at the end, suddenly something - I recommend it :).

I loved your game. Imagination power, magnet power, etc were all unique and cool interpretations. I got to 78% completion.

Developer (1 edit)

Thanks for playing my game! I'm so glad you had fun playing!

Nice to see how far you've come! You almost found the answer to the wizard's question :D.

There are 9 unique levels + an additional (hidden) scene at the very end, so suddenly what - I recommend :D.
