Should the Web build be working?

I was curious what would happen if I tried to continue as the first thing and now it keeps saying "No Backup Data found" even if I try to start the game normally.
I even tried opening the site in a different browser and in an incognito tab, but it still says the same thing.

Did I break it or is everyone reviewing the downloadable version ;D

Developer

Hey! I think you broke it lol, very strange! Maybe you could download the zip version to play?

Art looks so original, music and sound was also was in parallel with art.

It was a little hard to see what is damaging us and not. I think an approach to color palate like Sin City movie will be better especially for hazards.  Game also did not auto-save so I started over and over before giving up.

Developer

Thank you for your comment and for playing.

You can quicksave by going near the statues from the underground!

Hope that could help :)

Thanks a lot, maybe you talk about Adam a** lol

Nice retro style art and music, although sometimes gameover without knowing why.

Developer

Thanks for playing, to answer why you die: if you take the heart to the second level, you can resist more simply. Watch out for hidden spikes!

Wow, you really accomplished the gameboy style feel of this genre. It was quite difficult to progress sometimes, but I think that actually makes it feel more realistic of older games and their unforgiving nature. The music and art style matched wonderfully. This is a small detail, but having the spiky bush stand out more in some way would have made playing it much smoother for me. I often ran into them without even seeing it, as they look a bit like other elements that are just part of the background. But still, beautifully made and well-rounded game, well done!

Developer

Thanks a lot for you suggestions, I´m happy that the game boy style is here, that was my ultimate goal!

very good gameboy style execution

Developer

Thanks!

Good job! I like the background story of the game, it fits the gameplay well! Also, great job on the overall looks and feel of the game!

Thanks a lot for your comment!

Very nice graphics! I like the style, it makes me want to play it on the gameboy. Good job!

Developer

Thank you very much!

Nice game, lots of levels. I didn't know where to go after the "cool story bro" NPC.

Developer

Thank you, you have to climb the liana on the wall.

Submitted

Climbing didn't work.

Developer (1 edit)

You can climb by using up arrow, try to repair the first ladder by using ctrl

Thank you!

Great introduction It is game is a bit hard for me though

Developer

Thank you, don't forget to save in the levels with the hell gargoyle! :)

Dang, where is my old Gameboy Color anyhow? You made me want to dig that thing out of whatever closet it's run off to. I've never considered trying to release a game for old hardware, but I'm impressed by developers who undergo the challenge! Looks like you're off to a great start here.

Developer

Oh, thank you very much for your kind words, I hope to see more new-retro games like mine on new gen consoles, like the Analogue Pocket!

I got quite far before dying. Very nice art and style. If you are looking to get your game on a physical cart, I would check out Inside Gadgets.  Great work!

Developer

Thank you very much, I will try!

love the retro style. Both graphics and audio are very convincing. The play area feels too small though

Developer

Thank you!

I love the style, a lot, the truth is that the game is very fun, although sometimes it seems like the movement slides too much and you end up falling after a jump. It's a well-rounded game, great job ^^

Thank you very much for your nice comment! It means a lot to me. Yes, Adam is sliding around 🤣

Thank you for this nice comment! 🤩

Actually I didn't have time to create entirely the cover by hand, so I used AI with Photoshop and other tools to create it. I'm really proud of the result though!

I'm happy that you enjoyed it. Even if it was with AI, it took me a some time...

Scaling the ladder nice, really good story telling and nice job staying pure with the Gameboy stylings and sound. Just like a Gameboy the controls were a little tricky took me a long time on the first room to get out.

Developer(+1)

It really means a lot to me that you liked the emphasis on history. 😍

The first room: you mean the tutorial or the first "Hell" room?

Happy you enjoyed the retro style! 🕹️
