Very interesting game! I finished it but I wanted to try the final level much more, the search for bugs to complete the level was a continuous try and guess of allowed actions and not but it was neither predictable nor impossible, it was fair enough, I had a lot of fun finding the bugs. Good Job!
This game was very fun and challenging at the same time! I loved the art style, and the narration fit perfectly. Good job!
Very interesting game! First of all love the graphics. The narration really served to made me want to be rebellious haha. Still hasn't figured out why the untextured box stretches super long but it helped me getting to the goal so yay :p
Hope to see more of this!
i clear this game by put the block at my top and grab it then jump then grab it (loop)
...not sure is that the right play way.
anyway , this is a very cool game for me , tooks me 2 hr to clear it.
record this for you
I like the way you made the game completely about bugs. Also nice graphics, but the levels got very tedious for me :). Great entry.
Great game! The choice to take "it's not a bug, it's a feature" is really clever. The game does a great job at executing this idea of a "bugged" game. The graphics are really cute and I like the added touch of having the typical annoying narrator in the game. A piece of feedback would be to play the voice over just the first time the level is played. It gets frustrating to hear the voice repeatedly since I died a lot in the levels where the player can get killed, Otherwise, the game is fantastic, nice job!
Oh goodness, the gameplay is very innovative. I spent more time than I would have liked playing this and trying to crack my brain over the puzzles. A real "makes you think out of the box" kind of game.
Stopped at the "No grab" stage where you could still grab a piece in the ground but I could not jump high enough with it to reach the goal, even tried to angle it so that I can still jump glitch up but still could not do it in the end.
Well made game!
Fantastic and fun
Great voice lines and innovative gameplay. I also enjoyed the ode to box surfing later on. Also Great touch to have the game become more dilapidated as you continue to "break" it. Overall a well rounded experience. The gallery theme was great and the sense of humour throughout was refreshing. I also enjoyed the level design, with creative placements of the goal and the use of camera angles and shadows in later levels that pose a bit of a challanging almost physics puzzle.
You guys obviously had a blast making this and it shows in its presentation and screenshots. My only cretiques really are on presentation. Small stuff mainly. For instance, the (Unless you Cheat) portion of the title is giving it away. Hinting to the player that they can "cheat" the game could have been done more creatively. I'm not sure exactly how one could go about doing that in game but I imagine through some context clues or dialogue to hint that the game is maybe "incomplete" or "buggy" would have done the trick? This is done well in later levels though.
The highlight for me is that ending (</3)
Thank you very much for playing and for the feedback!
At first we planned the game to end in that heartfelt moment, but soon after implementing it, we felt something missing.. In the end, an ending where both the player and the developer would lose felt right: the player unable to complete the game, and the developer with barely a game to begin with!
Wow this is an excellent entry for the "bug" as in "glitch" theme.
Question: did you ask permission to Michelangelo to include that Sistine Chapel painting in your game? JK.
Can a game teach someone how to play simply by telling them what not to do? Apparently so. It doesn't diminish the glee that you feel upon "Breaking" it though to accomplish these impossible tasks. This impression is definitely helped along by continuously more exasperated commentary by the narrator. I don't often find classical music grating and here it's a good choice, where if there isn't as much variety it must be at least pleasant and noticeable. This game was a delight to play and move through!
Quite a fun game! I really enjoyed the narration and the subtle jumping hint in the first level. Also how you made it impossible to stack things to jump so I wouldn't go down the wrong way.
I found the third level quite hard I think you could have had one more level inbetween that and the second.
Also the mouse with camera controls left a little weird, maybe Q and E to rotate as an alternate option?
Overall really good entry and really great job. The criticism I had is quite nit picky.
I love the concept and the art style is very nice! I love how the voice acting was subbed and also nice how I got to the platform around the same time as the narrator mention the platform. But as a user, it can definitely feel a bit overwhelming as to what to do in order to "cheat" the game. Perhaps if there was some indicator or direction. Perhaps I am not hacker enough haha so others may have a more insightful view on this. Great job on the interpretation!
