This game is really funny. Also really difficult, too difficult I guess. It's very hard to control the rocket to go where I would like it to go.

This is a really fun game! And challenging as all hell. The second level took me forever.

I love the limited fuel mechanic. It really makes you take care to maneuver in JUST the right way. The only complaint I have is that the camera zooms too far out sometimes to see which direction the ship is facing. Some kind of icon (like the one that shows you what direction your destination is in) might help that.

The music and sfx were really fun/funny. It reminded me a bit of the kind of screwball humor games from the late 90s. The fun factor there really kept me engaged and pumped up. Really great, though after failing the same map over and over I did start to get sick of them.

Great game overall. Love it!

Good game! I have always loved physics games. Very difficult to beat the second level as previously mentioned, but I enjoyed trying anyway. :P The sound/music is amazing.

I tried and tried, but I didn't manage to beat the second level... :-(

But I really liked the idea, the graphics and the audio!

There's a bit of trial and error involved in beating most levels, but once you finally do pull it off it feels quite rewarding. One way you could deal with the fuel shortage and still have to use gravity, is by adding fuel powerups that also revolved around the map. I honestly love simple, challenging games though. It also helps that the music works very well for this game. Great job!

Developer

Glad that you liked it! We actually thought about adding powerups, but in the end we discarded it for the sake of simplicity... Like you, we tend to prefer simple and challenging games, but it's true that difficulty can be a bit too high at times on this one. Thank for for playing and for the great feedback!

Cool, I like how gravity works. But can't complete stage 2.

Developer

Yes, we realize it can be a little (too) challenging... The trick is to save up some fuel while orbiting, till the rocket is facing Mars... Then go all the way. Thanks for playing!

Nice little entry! The gameplay was simple, but you fleshed it out with the different planet types.

I would have liked to see more levels, but I also see the value in making few enough that people will play through to the end.

It would be nice if the player got a little more fuel; the strategy I found most effective was mostly guessing, and flinging myself in a direction, since it's so expensive to course correct (especially turning the ship).

Overall though, had fun. Great work for a game jam!

Developer

Yes, in the end we didn't have time to add more levels and we decided to deliver a "finished" small product rather than adding more and more and forget something else.

Regarding the fuel, we didn't have time for fine tuning yet and if we add more you would be able to reach the planets without needing to use their gravity, which would miss the whole game mechanic. Anyway, we are aware that it is rather difficult as it is right now and we may iterate it further after the jam!

Thank you very much for your nice feedback! :)

Really fun to play, congrats!

Really nice and fun game :)

Great execution of a pretty common concept! Wish there would've been a bit more fuel to give the player some agency in later levels, rather than just shooting into space and hoping for the best.

Developer

thanks for the feedback, we didn't have the time for fine tuning. The trick is to try to save fuel and use only as much as needed to orientate yourself in the proper direction and to move -> that is, only pressing shortly the space bar

Really cool and festive music! it invites you to play over and over. Enjoyable game, good job!

PS: What a great feeling after so many monkeys lost, one of them touch the moon. In this screenshot attached, everyone thought the monkey was lost because the “press to retry” music played but the ship continued moving and unexpectedly hit the moon and moved to the next level :).

Thanks! nice anecdote, you were lucky! ;)

Loved the sounds and graphics for this one :)

Though, there are a LOT of adrift monkeys in space now!

Really cute game with a lot of personality! I loved the announcer in the background and the soundtrack was perfect. The visuals are really neat as well!

The difficulty spike was a bit rough, took me a lot of tries to finish the last 2 stages. Would be nice to have a few more levels that are easier and gently increase in difficulty over time. Otherwise a really well designed game and I really enjoyed it! Hope you get more plays and attention for the jam I think people will really like this game :)

Developer

thank you for keep trying until you made it till the end and for your kind review! :)

Haha..this game is fun. Awesome graphics with the zoom effect. I keep going adrift and managed to land once. Will come back to play more. Good work !

Developer (1 edit)

thanks! :) yes, it's a bit tricky at first, but after you try a couple of times it gets easier ;)

Developer

Developer

don't forget to turn the music on, it's part of the experience! Enjoy :)
