  • Great submission! This was a really creative use of the theme, with great art and pretty fun gameplay. The controls worked very well, my only issue is I wish there was a way to cancel a jump once you started it; either by hitting a button to cancel or having the meter go back down after it goes up. It was frustrating to sometimes to jump into a new room and press a direction to quickly and take a hit because I couldn't cancel the action
  • Fun and cute game. I liked the art. I did not understand the purpose of chosing to be big or small and the point of having the game makes me pick my size often. Seems like being smaller was just objectively better since harder to get hit, but I must've missed something. Maybe the dad frog could've said something about that, cause I assume there was a point to that mechanic, but I did not understand. Nice art, nice audio, nice general mood, well polished.

I have made all the art, coding, concepts and music by myself (Nice Cream), however the sounds were made in various ways: 3 Sounds were Borrowed from already existing games, those being: Yoshi's Island, Super Mario World and Super Mario Bros. The minority of sounds were made from scratch using Beepbox. The majority of sounds were slightly ot greatly edited versions of sounds from The Essential Retro Video Game Sound Effects Collection [512 sounds] By Juhani Junkala.

Great job! This was one of the best games I played on this jam.

I am amazed by how good this game is! Don't know how you managed it in the time we had, but it's really good! Also pea shooters from plants vs zombies :D.

addictive gameplay and simple graphics, and as a result, a great game for jam

I noticed this was one of the most popular games in this jam, and after playing it, I definitely see why. It ties into the theme well, the visual and audio design is nearly seamless, and I really liked how simple yet unique the gameplay was. The unconventional control scheme, randomized rooms, and going for as high a score as I could made for something that was just plain fun. My only real criticism is that sometimes I got hit by stuff that I couldn't see during screen transitions because I hopped too far. It might have been nice if you could see the rooms ahead of time (it would also help you gauge how much you should inflate). That aside, though, you did an excellent job!

Thank you so much! :) I do think the main problem is getting hit by something you weren't able to see, but I do think I have a fix for that! ALso for knowing how much a player should inflate, I feel like that's more of a player's own judgement to decide, they'll eventually find their own sweet spot!

From the music to the art direction, this was a really well-thought-out experience! Moustache frog? Yes, please!

This is awesome! Great sound design, fun gameplay and nice looking visuals and effects. The only bug I encountered is that the bullet shooting plants can't seem to damage you when you're big, but that's just a nitpick.

This game, was simply a joy to play. It seems many people have praised the art enough, so what I will say is, I really love the enemy design. They were all very creative, and I love how some of them are from other games. Seeing the pea shooters was a highlight for me.

Thank you! I had a lot of fun coming up with enemies for the game and I love all of them! I'm glad you enjoyed my designs :)

absolutely adorable and addictive. Darn you for poking my nostalgia with those Mario sounds :D

Amazing!! ^_^

Love all the little creative sound fx and visual embellishments like the transitions and the way the final score shows up. Everything has a nice level of  polish that was really satisfying to the eyes and ears.

I felt like I should avoid the koopa shells when I'm in the air so I could jump over it, but it seemed to hit me no matter what  -- so it felt a bit clunky with how I would have to path the frog to avoid it. If they got too close, it was really hard to run away since it took a while to charge up. As far as I could tell, there was really not a lot of options for dodging besides making a WIDE path around the enemies.

I was not very good at this despite having a great time playing :) Awesome work!!
