Nice game, even though I have the skill of a Jellyfish. You've really pushed the concepts with levels, skins and a tutorial. The visual and audio works very well together. Great job!
It was nice to spend some time under the sea with the relaxing music and atmosphere but I have some regrets about smashing all those jellyfish with a bouncing 8-Ball. The controls felt responsive and the bubble effect is cool to see and gives a feeling of momentum to the ball. combo multipliers is a nice feature too. good job!
Fun game, the controls have that good "hard to use but in a fun way" kind of deal, no music but I could totally see a nice water theme to go with this game!
Thanks for the feedback! Have you checked your audio settings? There is music :D
Super chill game! I enjoyed the general vibe of the game, it was very relaxing. The visuals were gorgeous too! I liked the option to just change skins rather then grinding to unlock them, fits well for a jam but probably something you should change for a full release. It feels like it could be a good candidate for a mobile game with tilt controls and tap to dash.
Some feedback on the gameplay:
1. I could just stay in a portal and press space bar to get a large combo. I recommend once the player dashes to have that portal vanish for a bit before returning to get the player to move around more.
2. The one level with a long time scale was alright but felt like it was a bit to long, I recommend several different levels with different fish and a slower time (maybe 30 seconds).
3. A different sound effect per each type of fish plus maybe freezing it for a frame could add some nice juice to the game. It's very fun but could be a little more satisfying to hit the fish.
Overall, a very fun project. Great job!!!
Hey thanks for playing and the great suggestions!
I thought about working on a mobile version. Will definitly try it out.
Also I wanna add different gamemodes including a "shortplay" with 60 or 30 seconds and maybe a "ticking bomb" mode, where you start with only 10 seconds or so and each kill adds time to the timer.
Ticking bomb sounds like a lot of fun! Definitely play around with it some and see what you can get!
cool idea and the dashing feels really good! :)
I can't say I'm very good at this but I did enjoy playing it and I liked that there are different modes. There's a lot you can do to expand on the game. It's got a lot of possibility. Also, as much as I'm a pixel art person, I really liked the background art.
The game play to this is really fun and the artwork is awesome!! Very fun to get volleys ! Great work on this! :D
Good idea and execution.
Wierd how I was missing most of the fish at start and thought controlls are bad but after some time started making combos and not let almost anyone live :D
Enjoyed that though i'd change the tutorial as I found it too tricky jumping deliberately between the bubbles and it nearly put me off - the maingame is far more chaotic and luck than delibrate jumping....
Ok, thanks for the feedback! Will look into that.
When I first played the tutorial, I didn't think I would like the game but then when I played the actual game it was lots of fun :)
Thanks for playing!
This is such a good and unique concept, and it felt hugely satisfying to build up combos! The core mechanic is great and very well executed, and I love the way portals builds on it with a new concept - would love to see any additional ideas you had for subsequent levels. Got a score of 108 on main and 112 on portals, but pretty sure I'll be back to try and beat that :)
Thanks for the nice words! I have some ideas for diffrent game modes. You got me very motivated to work further on this project!
Fun mechanics that have been honed into a great experience. I would love to see more of it!
real
Cool game! I love the constant bouncing and momentum. Has a nice feel to it that makes you want to keep playing!
I like it when the game requires a lot of skill from the player for a big score
Nice game !
