“Did the game have atmosphere or make you feel something?”

*mashes five stars*

Yes. It made me feel… seen.

Simple graphics, basic gameplay, ... and yet, a particularly successful and addictive game. Each level allows to gradually understand the mechanics of this oh so addictive game. As soon as it started, it was impossible to let it down, even if it required looping the same level dozens of times. Very well designed, this game responds very well (thanks for the arrow keys instead of the usual WASD keys), all with highly haunting music. Everything in this game allows an unicity and is coherence, for an optimal and intuitive gaming moment. Well done for this nice project!

amazing game  it is very well made. But Would be nice if the character movement was also from WASD.

But its also well to play with arrows keys.

HI ! Thanks for your feedback !

If I sell the game and improve the content, I will restart the dev from zero, I have already an optimized flood fill algorithm, objects pooler etc...

Maybe the volumetric postprocess, blendshapes ennemies and all check needed for the game need to be optimized. What is your type of GPU ?

Great presentation! Those galaxy-cloud transitions were really cool. Was this inspired by an old flash game?

Developer

Hi ! thanks a lot for your comment <3

I was not inspired by a flash game, but by a game that probably inspired many flash games: Qix

This is slick presentation that is soothing to play. the subtle visuals and soundtrack are very atmospheric. good game!

a little bit buggy but very fun to play

Developer (1 edit)

hi ! Thanks for your feedback  ! can you say me where you see bug ? And I will fix it for the next version

Submitted

sometimes the gap didn't close even if there is no enemies

also you can make the game harder by instead of the red normal enemies go horizontal or vertical

it goes diagonal instead

Developer

Have you played more than 4 levels?

Because then there are enemies that move diagonally...

well yes... i already finished the game

Cerebral, ethereal, impactful. Evolving soundtrack rocks. Awesome game!

Like your comment <3 (except for the soundratck, unfortunately there is no music in a comment)

I went in not know what to do or what to expect. Within seconds I understood what to do, and what not to do. Very intuitive, amazing visuals, and such a strong atmosphere with the music and the narrative. Very well done to the team!

Thank you  for your amazing review ! I'm so happy to know that my game stands on its own to be understood

This was so soothing, satisfactory and pleasant to play. Very nicely executed.

And the music, (!!!) Love it! ❤❤

Developer(+1)

Thanks to you!  I'm also very happy with Axel's work on the game's music ! It's also the first time I use Wwise for interactive music and it was a great experience

Very creative game. It becomes much more fun when you start seeing the bouncing ball enemies. The idea of jumping from one safe area to another, trapping the ball, while at the same time, giving yourself more safety is superb. If you take this further, I think you can make a really fun game with it.

oh and there's typo and the credit in the end: "ennemies design"

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for your review and sorry for the typo at the end :( need to fix it haha

Great game, and a lovely sentiment. It felt extremely polished, with a very well tuned difficulty curve that got really tricky towards the end in the best possible way. The music is beautiful and adds a lot to the overall atmosphere.

Jean and me are really happy to read your review :D

Thank you !

quite interesting game but i think story is not synergizyng with gameplay, like, for me there is no connection between story about someone mind and snake-like gameplay i think this is very important for the game which gameplay is the most important thing, because story just feels superfluous (same with my game btw, but in case of gameplay) i cant say anything about core gameplay, its just great and feel enjoyable (like a original snake game but with cool sfx and audio) also your game have very interesting level mechanics, and nice background music

I think I tried to make the game play coherent by the writing , that's why it can seem a bit clumsy. But beyond that I'm talking about the "fear of not being able to bring a message through his work", which justifies this clumsiness in the writing.

However thanks to play my game ! And a thousands thanks to your review <3
