I enjoyed checking out your game!  I'm not great at shooters and I didn't use a controller, but I had a fun time doing barrel rolls while listening to the game's music!!

Really sweet game! Loved the flight mechanics and different shooting possibilities as well as the elephant god thingy.
For constructive feedback, the lock-on didn't work to well with the camera and the transitions weren't fit for 3440/1440 (widescreen) resolution but nothing game breaking.

Keep up the good work! I look forward to seeing more from this in the future :)

OK commander, the game pays us a special tribute and we are happy to see that some people are still interested in this type of gameplay. Mission complete, we go back to the base.

I really enjoyed this as far as I could cause sadly I wasn't able to use any of those special attacks :f

But otherwise it's a great game with a lot of potential :)

Oh no! What level were you on when it happened?

both and got stuck both times. Tried to combine the keys but couldn't get it to work but perhaps my incompetence is the real problem at this point :D

A fun opening to the game, very striking visuals and I like the switch between the more classic shooter mode and the dogfighting style of gameplay.  There was lots of interesting movement options, and the game design encouraged you to make use of them.

The only issues I came across was the lockon system during the elephant tutorial had my camera and ship jittering when I locked on. And sometimes the perspective made it hard to judge the distance on fitting the ship through small gaps, but I'm sure with more time I'd get used to that.

Thanks for playing! Lock-on definitely needs some polish. I've played around with the issue of not being able to judge where you're going, but it seems it may need another look. Thanks for the feedback!

Really cool game! The aesthetic is just fantastic and I think the story is very fitting. Good length as well. You could tweak some gameplay elements, but solid overall. I especially like the special attacks that you activate by barrel rolling, those feel very satisfying. Love to see where you'll take this!

Thanks for checking it out! Are there any gameplay elements in particular you think could use some work? I have a few in mind but want to be sure I'm hitting the right areas. Thanks again!

Of course! I think most of these are subjective, so feel free to ignore any of them:

  • I prefer an inverted y-axis for the camera control. I couldn't find an option to change it, but maybe I didn't look around enough.
  • In the on-rails sections in particular, the ship was on the same spot as the reticle. That meant it was hard to see what I was aiming at. Maybe the ship could be a little lower?
  • In the on-rails sections, the drifting felt very immediate. I liked that it was so explosive, but maybe a little smoother?
  • The boosting (particularly in the dog fighting sections) feels like it could be faster.
  • The handling feels like it could use a little more acceleration (particularly in the on-rails sections). It feels a tiny bit sluggish now.
  • I also encountered the lock-on issue mentioned earlier, but that seems like a technical thing to iron out.

Like I said, mostly very subjective stuff and none of it got in the way of my enjoyment of the game :)

Thank you, this is super helpful!
