How does your game fit into the theme?
Doki time travels to the past, causing chain reactions that bring chaos to the present! She also chains explosions together to defeat her foes!

In case someone is having trouble with Mint. Bombs don't dissapear after you throw them so you can force her into left corner, throw bombs at her for a while and shoot 'em once you have a nice pile. This way you don't have to bother with other phase of her fight as she is oneshoted.
This is genuinely the most fun I've had from the submissions, the bomb jumps and movement tech you could do with it was super fun, also old man yaoi
That was fun!!!!! The boss fight was challenging and took me 4 tries but I prevailed!
I gotta say the story kept getting wilder and wilder and that ending... omg 10/10.
Beautiful pixel art, great intro sequence too! The explosion animations were very well made and very satisfying. I also liked that the utorial was clear and quick to the point (although I forgot about S key to drop)
Great music choices and story full of references! Really well done.
I also like the chain combo meter, the upgrades shop (that Dooby art is adorable!) and the bomb chaining. Solid combo of game mechanics to make a great action game!
I felt the Doki-99 was a bit OP, but maybe its because I bought all the shop upgrades? Nevertheless it was super fun to go pewpewpewpewpew all the time ahahahahaha!
Oh and I found a typo, I think. One of the dialogue lines says "blind range" but I think you were going for "blind rage".
Overall a super polished and fun game. Great work, team!!
I love this game, fortunately I'm a gamer so I didn't got skill issue'd but I understand the difficulty is a bit overtuned.
A good concept to keep in mind for games like this is having weaker enemies as well! It feels good to shot 'em down with one bullet and keep the flow of the gameplay better alongside stronger enemies.
The ending is peak btw, good job overall.
I spent 30mins trying to defeat the final boss (I think) but couldn't... good job tho
Amazing game. I enjoyed every part of it. The visuals are fantastic. The music and sound design fit perfectly. Polished, fun gameplay that fits with the theme well. A story that fits perfectly with the theme and is funny and well written. Cool boss fights. yaoi. Absolutely knocked it out of the park. Submitted just in time too I just noticed lol. Well done you two!!
There's been a lot of fantastic games this jam, but I'm pretty sure this one's the best. Flat out. I can't even put it into words. This game feels polished as hell with an extremely intuitive and clean combat system. I loved the bombs. I loved the humor. I loved DAD, and Mint, and even the final boss. Everything was amazing.
This is one of my FAVOURITE games of the jam! Absolutely peak! Honestly more fun than some actual games out there.
I love the story, and the artwork is ADORABLE and has so much charm to it! The introduction cutscene gave me a laugh, and I was in awe on how you tied everyone together with it. Every time a new VTuber was shown, I was pleasantly surprised at how they're introduced and tie together. Every time I thought, yup, this is the last boss of the game, but NOPE. When the next level loaded, I was thinking, wow, there's even more! And I was so happy for it!
Levels: Having a tutorial to teach you the ins and outs of the movement and gameplay was nicely implemented. Short and small levels with the spawning enemies, and then moving onto the next room to fight some more paced out the game. With bosses spawning between level changes, having to show a cumulation of the last few mechanics being introduced as a fight was a nice touch. They weren't overly difficult either, despite dying 2-3 times in total to a few bosses.
Controls: It was so smooth. Initially, I didn't use the bomb jumps much. I figured, hey, the enemies were simple and small enough to jump over. But as the levels went on, it turns out bomb jumping was a requirement to get to the taller platforms.
The gunplay too. You balanced out the weapons pretty well. The pistol's piercing helped a lot in the early and mid game, whereas the shotgun and SMG dealt the most DPS once the end-game rolled around. Mobbing with the automatically recharging bombs helped, though I still somewhat panicked a few times and just tossed out bombs in front of me, which just instantly exploded when using the SMG and dealt no damage to enemies far away XD.
Upgrades with Dooby in the train was cute! And it was perfectly enough to max out everything before the final boss fight. I liked the option of having different guns and deciding on which to use as I progressed.
The selection of BGMs matched the levels well. I was jamming as I was facing the waves of enemies.
And the surprise BL at the end XD.
I didn't find a single bug, and it ran without a hitch.
Again, superb work with this game!
Gaddam. Literal perfection. This felt like an actual finished game. Has to be the best one I've come across so far
absolute cinema. feels really polished and the final boss’ patterns are super cool and varied
that ending was not on my bingo card lol
Five stars down the board, no notes. My favorite out of all the jam games I've played so far! Great mechanics and opportunities for cool plays. Loved the choice of BGM for Mint!
The writing is my absolute favourite so far. From the intro to the ending, everything is funny and nothing feels padded out. I seriously marvel at your choice for the final boss. I would like whatever the writer is on when developing this. The gameplay is pretty snappy and polished as well. Controls are smooth and responsive, bombs feel impactful, and the overall difficulty is nicely balanced. It's nice that DAD is actually helping. If I am to nitpick, I don't like how the enemies spawn right on me sometimes, and I often die without noticing my health bar. There's also the slightly buggy music loop. Overall, it's still a very enjoyable game to play! Great job on this.
Holy COW! This game is basically perfect on all fronts. The gameplay is INCREDIBLY fun, to the point where I was barely mad retrying the bosses. Everything feels balanced. The sprites look great and the dialogue character portraits are absolutely adorable. The writing is fucking hilarious and I was laughing out loud the whole time. Incredible game; fantastic work to everyone involved!
I have not laughed this hard in *years!*
And as always, YAOI SAVES THE DAY!!
10 out of 10, no notes!! The final boss will haunt my nightmares for a few days (rip past me who thought the final boss was Mint and started celebrating too early), but a great and perfect game all around!! 💖✨💫
