First of all: I'm looking forward to actually play it once it is patched ^^. For now it is a office walking simulator ... But:

What did I like (so far):

  • Of course the graphic mix! It is so funny that I immediately like the game, without beeing able to play it right now. The hand drawn enemies look gorgeous! I'd love to see with what small talk combat mechanics you came up for those unique characters. (The fly with the cup might be my favorite although the others are super great too.). I also like the general color set of the office and the sunlit spaces.
  • The music is goood, props to that. It somehow fits the sunlit scenery with some summer vibes and has a catchy beat.

What can be improved:

  • The obvious ^^
  • In the current state I have just one impression of what can be improved: Regarding the hand drawn characters, the whole scenery might benefit from a light toon shader that outlines the walls, and furnitures a bit.

So far so good ^^.

Can't wait to play it :)

Ha ha, sounds like you got a good grasp of the game. Watch this space for future updates. Soon enough we'll have a more workable version.

is it just me or is the game functionally broken? The theme is neat tho, although a bit overplayed at this point. Nice entry nonetheless

Developer

Don't worry, it's not just you! We encountered some issues where our item gathering and combat scenes did not function in our WebGL version. Appreciate you checking out what we did produce, though!

Yup, the theme is cool, the environment and the sprites especially look cool.

Developer

Thank you very much! Very kind of you to say.

I really like the style of your sprites. Would be great if the environment carried a similar style.

Pit the combat and item stuff didn’t make it in.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to get it to run properly in my browser. The window was square and the text clipped outside of it. However, I really liked the premise and the music was excellent!

Developer

Sorry to hear about the sizing issue. We were working right up to the submission deadline, and unfortunately we didn't get much time to format the end product for all devices. Appreciate you checking us out though. If you liked the music, you should check out our composer JApolloProductions on Spotify!

Great start but obviously you can't do much yet.

Developer

Thanks for saying so! We are trying to continue work for eventual publishing elsewhere, perhaps on Steam!

The actual grid based movement (Really snappy turning) and mapping is implemented really well, music is good, and the billboard sprites are great. The problem is I'm not sure how to intereact with the characters or quest ! icons.  I've tried e/enter/bump. I think it just needs some instructions added to the description.

Developer

Unfortunately the issue isn't with you or the controls, but rather some errors we encountered in transition to WebGL. Our combat scenes and item gathering functionality was lost in translation, sadly. But watch this space for bug-fixing updates! Thanks for checking us out.
