@VSI Studio
OpenAL must be installed on your system in order to play the gamejam release,
this is specified in the README file contained in the distribution and on the
games web page under Install Instructions: https://yeswaygames.itch.io/blob-keep
https://openal.org/downloads/oalinst.zip
https://openal-soft.org/openal-binaries/openal-soft-1.21.1-bin.zip
A version of this file might be included in future releases. Apologies for
this inconvenience.
I like your idea of more detailed grid map. So, wall size is 1 tile, player size 2x2 tiles, attack goes 2 tiles. Its very innovate for me. I've just reach first 2 blob enemies Fighting against 2 foes goes hard. Good job!
Updated: finished :)
I increased the movement speed and made things a little bit easier. Leveling up
is much faster, I hope not too fast. Also, when you die and respawn you'll keep
any experience gained.
I also added the first level of the keep. There are two more levels planned.
I'll upload a new release after the gamejam has finished.
Merciless, took me several tries, I like it, would visit the basement under the keep.
Thanks for all the feedback. I wasn't able to finish in time and there is still a
great deal of work that needs to be done.
@ DamienDe: The speed gets faster as you level up, but I think you are correct,
it does seem very slow at first. It might not have been a great idea to limit
the movement speed. I will make improvements.
Every time I died the game shut down. I tried three times but did not get past the second encounter on any attempt. :(
Really nice, maybe a bit too hard and the movement should be 400% faster.
I didn't last long. The map design and movement don't mesh well -- it feels like a game designed for free movement, with very slow grid-based movement on a tiny grid thrown in as an afterthought.
