How does the game fit into the theme?
Our game reflects the "Keep Moving Forward" theme in both story and gameplay. The protagonist, a grieving father, is forced into high-pressure Chaos Events, making split-second choices to spread despair and collect coins. With no time to hesitate, players must keep pushing forward, mirroring the MC’s struggle to escape his grief, or be consumed by it.

I enjoyed my time playing the game and managed to get one of the endings. I love some of the absurd and ridiculous moment in the story, it elevates the player experience even more with the silliness. Overall good writing, really enjoyed it! Good work!

Developer(+1)

Thanks a lot! Glad you enjoyed it! The absurd moments were definitely intentional to add some contrast, so it’s great to hear they worked for you. Appreciate the kind words!

I had an absolute blast with this one. I like how it incentivizes evil through the questions in which you get more points for doing the wrong things. I got all 3 endings: Am I a bad person for liking the third more lol? It is tragic but has such a poetic mixture of violence and consequence, it really fits the game's motif. In my opinion, it does a better job of showing how easy it is to lose your own soul amidst grief and a wish for vengeance, and how bitter can that result be: while the second one is more tame.

I gotta say, I love visual novels that break the typical mold of just dialogue/consequences. The timed minigame makes everything better: The split second decisions with a goal of making everything worse was an awesome idea.

I would definitely purchase a full-fledged game with this mechanic haha. A "Danganronpa"-like game where you trade coins for deals with a devil would make for a delightful game. Great job!

Developer

Wow, thanks so much for the awesome feedback! 😊

Glad the third ending resonated with you, it was meant to be tragic yet poetic, so it’s cool to hear your take on it. And yeah, the idea of losing yourself to grief and vengeance was a big theme!

Really happy you enjoyed the timed minigame too! We wanted to break the usual VN structure and make things more dynamic, so it’s great to hear it worked.

A Danganronpa-style game with devil deals sounds insanely fun, definitely an idea worth exploring! πŸ˜† Thanks again for playing!

I'm not a fan of visual novel-type games, but this was pretty entertaining! One of the most interesting takes I've seen on the theme yet. Good job :)

Developer

Thanks! Glad you found it entertaining and liked the take on the theme!

Never played a visual novel but very fun game. Ended up getting all 3 endings.

Developer

That's awesome!  Really glad you had fun, especially as it's your first visual novel! And getting all three endings? That's Impressive!  Thanks for playing!

Didnt think I would like a visual novel so much haha, never really played them, but this was a nice way to refresh myself from the genre!

Developer

Really happy you liked it! 😊 It means a lot, especially if you're not usually into visual novels. Thanks for giving it a try!

Woah man. Really love the concept of going through different lives and people just to make their surroundings filled with despair. I don't really know how to rate a visual novel, but this was a hell of a ride (literally)

Developer

Thanks so much! Really glad you enjoyed the ride, literally and figuratively! πŸ”₯

The idea of spreading despair through different lives was definitely a fun (and twisted) concept to explore. No worries about rating, the fact that you had a hell of a time playing is more than enough!

Ooo, I love visual novels of this kind!

Developer

Awesome! Glad to hear that! 😊 thanks for playing!

I tried to embrace the evil. Never played a visual novel before but it is pretty nice how it fits together. I got the dementors kiss ending.

But this whole thing felt like a fever dream :D

Developer(+1)

Glad you gave it a try, especially since it's your first visual novel!

You definitely embraced the evil! And yeah, "fever dream" is probably the perfect way to describe it! πŸ˜‚ Thanks for playing!

Haha had a lot of fun with this one. Also, props for using the right 'faze' in context! Ended up getting the third ending. Guess I'm too much of a goody two shoes lol

Developer

Haha, glad you had fun with it! And nice catch on "faze"! πŸ˜†

Getting the third ending means you didn’t spread too much despair, looks like you have a good heart!

Dont know how to give feedback on visual novels, but it was one of the ones I liked. Its cool, that i can do different endings. Great work!

Developer

Thank you so much for taking the time to test it, even if it's not your type of game, that's really cool!
