- Amazing mechanic, challenges the notion of "forward" movement. Also a puzzle game, super fun!
- What a great entry. I really liked the concept and the gameplay was really engaging. The game was also balanced very well, it was difficult at times but still fair. I don’t have anything bad to say, really nice job!
- Super impressive!! Really cool concept I can absolutely envision becoming a full marketable puzzle game. A game of reflexes as much as it is thinking. Got stuck at times but the level names were helpful in figuring out what to do. One of my favorites.
- I'm surprised at how smooth the mechanics were. I enjoyed it very much as a platformer and thought it was a unique take on the theme
How does the game fit into the theme?
Due to the low friction from the ice Pugil can't stop himself from moving in the direction he's facing hence the always moving forward part. The only way for him to move is by pushing off walls.
What premade assets did you use if any?
Used sounds from PixaBay, a font, and 2 shaders

Hi, I'm hedge one of your judges! Played at https://twitch.tv/hedge_in at 13:00 <3
The game is very exciting, but it takes time to get used to such mechanics)
I AM ABSOLUTELY IN LOVE !!! The punch mechanic is so much fun!!!! Also the platforming is sharp and so well made! WELL DONE! If you don't get any awards I'm gonna be surprised.
This game is a very creative puzzle platformer with such a nice level design. I loved it. At the end, when I got to the challenge levels I was like "wow, there's more?". It's impressive how such a mechanic could create so many interesting interactions. The double-punch thing was something I never even thought of trying before the challenge levels. I almost felt the urge to go back to the previous levels and try to S-Rank them all but I gotta play the other entries haha. I understand where people are coming from when they speak of difficulty but I really dig this kind of challenge.
Great job with this one!
The UI is so satisfying, and I think the level design was great; it introduced concepts slowly and built the player up to them. Nice job!
Overall the game was pretty fun and difficult but the level ordering didn't exactly line up with the difficulty with one of the first ones being the hardest. Also the control scheme kept messing me up as I'm used to holding down the direction I'm traveling in especially during a jump in a platformer but that just punched repeatedly, definitely some of the best graphics and fun in the game jam but could maybe work out a way to make the controls move intuitive to your average platformer, or maybe thats just me who was a bit thrown off. Great job dude.
thx for the feedback. I’m wondering which level in particular you found difficult since I’m not sure
I believe it was level 3? it has small platforms and a double turnaround from breaking 2 blocks.

This game is very fun haha, I really liked the mechanics, it works very well and there is room for further development.
Also the music and art are well polished.
Excellent work! :D
Hello!
Congrats on this work! I had a great time playing. The difficulty is well-balanced, with levels getting progressively harder.
A big highlight for me is the UI and overall atmosphere, which are really well executed. I also really liked the narrative aspect at the beginning, as it gives context to what we're doing, always a great addition!
The level design is top-notch, and I love how the level names provide just enough information to guide us toward a solution without giving it away. Well done!
This is such a creative idea! The puzzles are well-crafted, the visual presentation is excellent, and Pugil is really charming! I wish there was an option to use SPACE instead of W for jumping, but that's a minor nitpick. Overall, I had a blast playing this game! :D
Wow! It’s a clever mechanic I’ve never seen before, and you’ve implemented it thoughtfully, and it all ties together just right.
It’s full of puzzles that at first glance I’d swear it’s impossible, but then you get to form a plan, and mess up a hundred times executing, and finally – yeah! – pull it off, wow was this a good time.
This is a strong contender for best in show.
the controls are simple to understand, but the levels grow in complexity in a way that you always feel challenged. this game is really well done, lots of polish!
This is one of the games I've enjoyed more playing in this jam! The levels were really clever, the gameplay feels good and the art blends pretty well. The only thing I didn't like is having to use the mouse to go to the next level, and enter for the dialogs, these were really far inputs from each other.
I probably should have stated it in the game but clicking enter also moves to the next level automatically (at least it should). Perhaps I should have converted all to button controls though.
Really fun game, but dang its difficult.. I really liked the finish level UI with the sfx too, and the speedrunning incorporation.
Really fun game, but at the same time really hard lol. I got stuck at level 9. I enjoyed the mechanics a lot and this game fits the theme quite well. Also, the speed run aspect was a cool addition. And I love how polished the menu is when you beat a level, how the different stats show up one by one with sound effects. Great job :)
