They robbed you the game jam with a gun pointed at your face.
pretty interesting idea! at the start, finding out what words meant was intuitive with the merchant. but as the game went on, it became kind of repetitive for me and i quitted when i achieved all 5 languages, but only knew mostly of 2. although, you did a good job on designing the game. i can’t imagine how big the GDD might be with all the things to balance the game!
It reminds me of Chants of Sennaar and i really loved that game. Achieving gameplay and nice music too, as well as the visuals, i really appreciate the UI, very clear and well made!
Its A really nice game! I really like the idea of figuring out the words manually by finding the difference , I cant seem to get to the end though, so I gave up half way hehe. Was pretty cool concept!
Thank you! A am taking a note here to look more on the game tempo during potential ballancing stage.
Took me about 90 minutes, pretty good overall.
Wow, sounds like a well deserved victory! Congratulations! :-)
Nice, congratulations! :-)
Great visuals and I loved the fact that you used an actual "myth" for a game. The gameplay was super fun. I love resource-management games so I got stuck on it in no time.
Thank you! I am glad you enjoyed playing it! :-)
Really fun deduction style game. It's a bit confusing at first, but that's probably on me for not reading most of the description on the page. Art style looks great and the menus all feel nice and look good. I like that you can click on words and it brings them up in the book with the little list of all the times you've seen them. Once I had a lot of resources I just started sending people nine of everything cuz I didn't figure out what the first word meant in a lot of languages. I ended up playing for quite a while and won on my 2nd run. Awesome job!
Thank you for feedback! It is also nice to read some intel from your playthrough. Sending all hoarded resources is absolutely valid strategy - especially in the late game and when you are fully stocked.
If I decide to polish it more after game jam (still not decided if it is worth do or not) I want to make some tutorial that teach you game rather than having that "rulebook" that I admit is boring to read. Also I would like to focus on some ballance and reducing some RNG factor that can be harsh sometimes.
And congratulation on winning! :-)
Thank you for feedback! It is also nice to read some intel about your playthrough.
This is really good, the art is amazing and there is a bunch of gameplay. I did have a bit of trouble at the start, but I figured it out!
Thank you! I am glad you find your way through the tough start. If there is one thing I would love to add if I have had more time it will be definitely tutorial.
Gameplay and art are awesome! Interesting how many people made this game.
Thank you! Gameplay could not be for everyone, so I am so happy it clicked with you! :-) I've done it alone, but I had so much spare time for it during the week.
Wow! Really impressive! Also have you been inspired by "Chants of Sennaar", because it has similar vibes and theme (well from description, haven't bought this game)?
I was not, but searching that game now, I am tempted to buy it. Thanks for tip. :-D
You're welcome))
This game and the art are incredible for 1 week!
Thank you! I am so glad you like it. :-)
This is such a good idea. I am a big fan of the deduction style games. One for me to come back to after the jam voting as was already getting lost trying to work out everything.
Thank you for the comment! It can be a lot to process at some moments, but when you start to unravel how these words are connected, it feels good. And usually then new language drops :-D
As a fellow Tower of Babel enthusiast, I am a big fan of this. Lowkey thought I was the only one who would make a Babel themed game lol
Thank you! Great to hear there is more Tower of Babel themed games. I am looking forward to try your! :-)
Very interesting concept. It has so much content that I am amazed that you did that in one week! The artstyle is also so amazing!
Great Work (keep it up)
Thank you very much! Let's say it was a long week. :-)
It's so addicting I ended up playing for like 45 minutes. Really interesting logic puzzle
Tell me about it! I was testing it in the morning, playing and playing and suddenly it was noon and I forgot to cook a lunch. :-D
Thank you very much for your feedback! :-)
Very good game but i think is very hard to know how works
Thank you. I totally get you, I regret that I wasn't able to implement tutorial in the game in time. There is "How to play" on the game page, but I know there is a lot of information and it might be a little bit overwhelming. But I believe that once you get the basics, the game starts to make sense. :-)
I also want to record some gameplay video in next days. It might be also good way how to introduce how the game works.
