did an AI just have an existential crisis in front of me? XD

i actually want to see this game fully released. this is such an interesting and unique topic. you never wonder how AIs will really think when they become sentient about around the world they live in. i think a chat like this would be the result.

the writing is also greatly done too! it actually feels like a nice AI talking to you, but with personality. someone who I would want to help :)

congrats on making the game :D! really enjoyed it. ^^

wow! really appreciated your comment ^^.

although I had the main idea in mind, the narrative was kind of improvised everyday, as i preferred to write one part of the game, work on it, and then go onto the next one, rather than making the entire script in one single day.

it’s true that I also wanted to implement some more jokes, but not only about game development. there were just little gags, references or easter eggs

(like one was about Kevin Macleod playing on the background of the finale and being mentioned by the narrator), but got eventually scrapped to not interfere with this focus you said of the game revolving the developer’s struggles.

i’m so glad you enjoyed the game and that you got to play it! thanks for playing and good luck in the jam :D

thanks ^^! the theme interpretation is also a bit meta bc it came from my team and I trying to get an idea for the jam, but were keep getting stuck on a loop and couldn’t find one that convinced us xd.

“Freshly shaved, he went to eat breakfast.”

eats an entire chicken 😭

mmm that was tasty XD

good thing the game had touch screen compatibility, otherwise I couldn’t have played it. very fun story and incredible looking art! great job ^^!

wait mcfluff I knew you were supportive bc of your skg jam comments but not that much omg ^^

thanks to YOU for playing!! i actually played all games posted on the skg discord but I missed yours so good thing you commented 🙂

good luck in the jam and thx for being so awesome:D

thanks for playing! :)

when I read this I was kind of confused, so I searched what F12 did on opera gx and found this “panic mode” in the opera forums.

“The next time your boss suddenly returns early from lunch while you’re streaming League of Legends tournaments, you can quickly hit the F12 key and the Panic Button is activated.”

this is literally the most random thing I have ever seen 🤣

GOT YOU!! 😝 yea i have seen games recreating errors on windows, but i didn’t know it was also possible on web, and im glad it worked so well! XD thx for playing!!

thanks man! the puzzle on the Windows version of the game requires you to look up a file on your Documents folder where the code would be, but since doing that on Web is impossible, i just figured to use the DevTools’ console on the browser. thanks for playing :D!

funny enough, i have never played Thomas was alone, but now I want to play just because of this xdd

i think some of that kind of inspiration comes from Cats Are Liquid. definitely recommend it I would think they are pretty similar. it also has a simple style but dang the story is good.

btw good luck on your way learning unity! Cheers :)

thank you for your nice feedback ^^ – and for playing :D! good luck on the jam:)

tbh i initially feared that players wouldn’t know how to deal with the terminal puzzle, as it’s very different compared to other games. this also goes for the fake error in the roguelike.

but hey thanks for playing! I’m glad you liked it that much ^^

i probably should had mentioned that this game is meant to be completed in one sitting. if you quit the browser your progress won’t be saved (except for the finale).

although I don’t really think in-game checkpoint would be that necessary, as you can’t really die anywhere in the game. even if you fall in the platformer level, the scene will restart and give you the opportunity to try again.

the only level that I can think of where you can “die” is in the roguelike by softlocking yourself getting trapped by the enemies.

although i will take it into consideration. thanks for playing!

I am a 15 year old that is going to go through his GSCE’s.. Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

FUCK JOE I HOPE MY YEAR DOESNT GO LIKE THIS 😂

incredibly fun to play! my highscore was 6810. great job :DD!

the lasso physics are funny xd the art is cool too! congrats on making the game ^^

took a bit of understanding for figuring out how to actually play, but the action wheel is actually genius! however, the gameplay tends to just end up, ironically, in another loop of the bot and I punching eachother back and forth and no one actually falling down. but still, nice game and art!! :)

this is actually so funny i loved it. ♥️

the art style is awesome. congrats artists! ^^ the game itself is a bit tricky to maintain after 3 loops, at least for me. workers are a bit slow.. good job nonetheless!

great and super fun game! i love eating candy and myself!

(what)

the game is kind of difficult to get at first, but then i managed to complete all the levels except the last one! i got the flag in this position, but didnt know how to fully reveal it. i also think the application of the theme is a bit questionable. i was considering i was travelling through these dimensions, not looping. but oh well. good job the 3d graphics mixed with 2d were pretty cool!

ONLINE LEADERBOARDS?!? now you know people are gonna grind your game. very good aesthetic and visuals! i liked how when you finish people you make a random cool pose, like if we were in jojo’s or something Xd image.png

thanks for trying it out :D! and i get what you’re saying. the “loop” concept of the game doesn’t appear until you complete the Platformer part of the game, and it once took me 3 minutes to complete.. a bit long for sure. but hey you made it through :P thx for the feedback ^^!

thanks ^^!

hell yeah 🔥

nice platformer! also i like Jerry XD 🔥 although he killed me ;-;

congrats on making your first game on Unity! there’s a big change between it and Godot. heck, i even once tried to use Godot, and i got instantly lost. the workflow is very different in these two! but yeah unity physics sucks sometimes xd

just out of curiosity, can I ask you for what did you use the “async Task Start()” function? i have used Unity for 2 years, and i have never used that kind of syntax in my scripts! that function gives me more “C#” vibes and Unity’s. using C# outside of Unity is actually very different! You will rarely need to do asynchronous functions in Unity, Coroutines are an easy alternative of them if u didn’t know.

haha! thank you for playing and for the review just before the end of the jam :-).

[sorry for using chatgpt for this response, i wanted my original reply to be more constructive.]

Hey! First off, I really like your pixel art style — it’s super charming. Nice work!

That said, I found it a bit unclear how to actually play at first. If it weren’t for Mcfluff, I wouldn’t have figured out the controls.

Also, I wanted to mention the “Kibo drinking pingas” line. Humor is super subjective, of course — but in this case, it felt a little out of place given the overall tone of the game.

One thing that did genuinely bother me was the presence of ads. This is a game jam, which is generally more of a community-driven celebration of creativity, it feels a bit at odds with the spirit of the event.

You already have a Ko-Fi set up, so maybe consider relying on donations instead for support? That way, players who enjoy the game can still support you without being forced through ads — it feels a lot more in the spirit of the jam.

Overall though, I can see the care you put into this — thanks for sharing your work!

thx for figuring this out and sharing it to us 😅

woah this game is fun. i thought it was going to be a simple killing monster game, but when it turned into a blood farming simulator it got very, very entertaining ^^. i completed the game in 9:20 minutes! congrats on making the game :D!!

cool game! although, the boss was just too much HP for me. 15000 just seems like a lot, although some people were able to beat it! maybe add some easy, medium and hard difficulties? i felt that i was quite bad playing Xd

game seems very fun and interesting! but it was way too difficult for me. i recommend adding checkpoints to some parts of the levels and change the objective to “Infect the final person” instead of “Infect # persons”, as some cool shortcuts can be made in levels but the game impedes you from using them as you skip a few people to infect.

the setting gave me some Portal vibes for sure. the character was a bit tricky to control, specially when wall jumping. but i still was able to beat it!! although no cake at the end 😔. well done! :D

fun game! i got a score of 3677 on normal. the pixel art is pretty detailed and well made! goob job :D

thanks for playing :) and for the nice feedback on the art ^^

cute game! i liked that you could pick diamonds for an extra challenge in each level. good job! :D

The animations and voxel art of the game are pretty good! The choice of music was also very good. Nice job! :D

wow lots of VFX! the game was pretty fun! i like how you can always avoid the enemies and obstacles by game design, regardless of having power for shooting, but that you also have the option to shoot if you’re in trouble. good job :D!
