Good job at trying your best and fixing the game after the jam! I will definitely try again

Adding to what AmiableVegetable said, inside the admins tab, when they accepted invites, you can also mark them as contributors so they show up in page!

didnt really understand the game, or how to win, but I suppose that maybe is just the game! I like the music and the end (though the vine boom sound is a bit funny hahaha)
Good job on your first entry!

really good game overall! (Its kind of hard to see where to go[top left] lol) but I had fun and won in 44 deaths!
what I did for me (since Im bad at platformers) is I just died over 30 times first to get abilities then speed through everything hahaha.
Good game! The feel of dashing and wall jump is really good.

A simple but cute game! I I like the fact that there are bouncy balls to play with and also the big waterfall (it looks like waterfall) at the end, makes me feel the dopamine rush to go inside of it and take a shower :P
Sadly there is nearly to no content, but I suppose its fine in a 72 hour game! Good job!

A really interesting game! Utilizing Ascii art was surprisingly fitting (despite using emojis as well)
I like the idea of having a knowledge system in place, but I never opened it and just clicked on which colors match which (it seems to work well!)
I just max out HP, strength, magic and defense, any other Im more lazy to do lol
Good game!

whoops, I accidentally pressed shift and it seems I can have infinite upgrades xD
I decide to play the game again to be fair and square, the game is definitely an interesting take, where you have procedural generated rooms and spawned enemies, I like the simplicity of the enemies (and the fancy effects on the wand lol)
though its a bit repetitive if played long enough, Good job still!

its really hard to navigate in the game, cant see anything when you are that zoomed in, not to say its a dark room.
(also the dialogue box didnt dissapear for me so that obstructed 20% of my visible screenspace)
The game is interesting, you walk around(ignoring the bumping) you collect heals from the chests and try to mutate, its kinda hard to see around with the limitations given. but nice concept overall!

The idea is really great! it feels like a really good puzzle game if u design the levels (and the mechanics well enough)
I especially had fun in terms of utilizing the quirks of the engine (collision corner hits) to narrow down my amount of moves I need to take.

overall its a really Good game made in a short time! I like it

died 43 times xD but no worries I went through the entire game, had to see all kinds of upgrades lolol
I really like the funny squish on y axis when u shrink :P( I thought u literally shrink, but looks like uve been hit by a hammer in the head lol)
Good game! Im not as good in platformers but I enjoyed this

Your comment means a lot to us! (although we dont think we are the best game xD)
The enemy spawning is actually done by a teammate who is still learning coding and godot in general! we decided to let each other participate so not all systems are all done by our experienced programmer :D
Hope you had fun in our silly little game hehe!

Thank you so much for the comment :D. The idea of soul shard was supposed to be more broad than just preserving stats and skills (but also weapons and stuff) sadly we didnt have time :P
Hope you had fun playing it hehe

Interesting game! Impressive to do all this in pygame without an engine! One thing of note: I dont feel rushed to do anything as there is no "apparent lose condition" it seems? I just let tiny spores grow, then just spam one color until I finish the objective :D
Good job on making this!

The game is simple! I like the game overall! Not much comment on this except that the character feels a bit sluggish and that the resolution can be a bit annoying (since my laptop is with an unusual resolution)
Good Job!

I like this game a lot! even though its a bit repetitive, but I really love the simple style (and the IK animations for the alien was really cute for some reason xD). I jumped into the game at the extreme difficulty and it seems really simple (at least for me) I had a lot of fun!

(1 edit)

I believe the entire game is just that, unlike what other comments have tried to guess, I was curious and decompiled the code (for educational purposes only, ofc don't be like me :P), the freezing is intentional (by godot's terms, it's a "get_tree().paused = true") :D, I think originally the concept of having beetles to attack the mushroom to decrease its health is quite interesting... sadly I think the developer does not have time to implement that feature.

I really love the parallax and what the game could be! Good job!

the animations are really good! The game itself is very simple : D, I like the fact that every enemy has their own attack pattern, and their own animation! This mustve took a long time to draw (let alone in 72 hours!)
Great Job! The music and atmosphere change in game while you are dead is really interesting, makes the player feel uneasy while the enemies are still shooting your corpse down lol.

Really cool fancy stuff! what I did instead was ignore the enemy' deployed spaceships and direct target the enemy's main spaceship! Which seems to guide my team towards and just ignore the actual fight xD
I read the description the upgrade bar was suppose to allow u to gain upgrade, but that was too hard for me to hit, so I decided why not try to just spawn kill them, and it worked!
Good game overall! I like the really fancy effects and bloom :P

Interesting idea where you picture other people's failure! Its just like real life :P, I played through the game twice just to see if I missed anything hahha

I managed to finish the game! Its a pretty interesting game, though, in terms of limitation (failure is progress) I dont see too much of an implementation, but the game itself is really interesting!

The game is simple and has really nice animations! its really consistent with the art style and has that weird 1990 feel into it. I really like these kinds of games as they remind me of the good ol' days :P
Good job!

this is really quite interesting! I really like the fact that theres 45 combinations! been trying to find all the combinations possible : P. Good job at this game! Having some kind of way to keep track these already made recipies (as simple as popping up on the UI) could be really good as well! but I understand that in the time constrain it could not be made :D. Good job!

Thank you for such kind words and detailed comment! (the fast was supposed to be because we considered people's attention span xD) but I suppose ur right in terms of the speed in general, it was quite quick :P anyways, hope u had fun in playing our silly little game!

this game idea would be really funny, just like in plants vs zombies you choose playing the zombie! Though sadly it seems the "Next level" button is not working (the try again button is working though)
It seems that there are 8 more levels (total of 9 as said in the description) sadly I cannot play it : (
The art style is really interesting, the Golem looking thing is really funny xD when it went to the base!

simple game! It feels very calm compared to other games, Im actually quite interested on how this will go, esp for these kind of narrative heavy based games! Although the game isnt finished, I still appreciated the effort of trying to upload it here! Good luck on your next journey!

Simple game! I like the different abilities! never would I have thought in a game would contain multiple dashes at the same time lol, though the game seems to loop so it never ends, but I suppose thats fine!

Quite interesting game! I really like the fact that all the art was done during the jam! It's really gorgeous.
I think the paladin has a really weird attack, I intuitively thought it should be rotating around the middle? but maybe thats just a convention and this game is just refreshing the the mechanics a bit :P(since I found that it was more effective than rotating around the center)
I like trickster the most due to the fact that they can slow the enemies down before they reach you, not to say it also gives them knockback! So if I stack up atk speed, technically no enemies can get close :P (sadly I cant get to that point since its really hard for me)

Good game overall! The choices are quite limited but I suppose thats just cause its 72 hours :P Good job

Thank you for the kind words! Hope you had fun while playing our silly little game!

This game feels extremely cute hahaha, I like the mechanic of failing for RIBBIT to jump xD
The scenery is also really nicely made!
RIBBIT

Nice game! The background is what catch my eyes the most xD. The game itself is quite simplistic, not to say utilizing Emojis as skill icons (never thought I would see a game like that, but now that I think of it, makes much sense)
I enjoyed the game a lot!

I always wanted to write something like this! This is really a cool concept executed in a game style format. After completing the game, I had really much fun in the sandbox, where I just tweaked values and happy to see how the cars really get farther and farther depending on the settings I did! Good and fun game!

This is a really cute game! I like the aspect that you really cannot see the world initially, adds to the fact that in reality thats how it works probably if ur a tiny organism :D
my strategy was simple, I just create two spiky legs, with one normal leg, then I press rotate, and no enemy can kill me (mean while I can gain their DNA by walking forward!) I got 3k dna from that lol

THen I build a monstrosity hahahaha, I liked every part of it! Good game, really enjoyable

The game is certainly interesting! I found myself constantly getting more and more swords in the game lol, most of the time it just one shots the enemy xD, so its more like a casual move mouse to point game!

Good job for ur first entry! Definitely got the hang there

Lol reverse size eating is very funny twist of this genre! I like the detailed fact that you can see the buttons being pressed in the controls menu(settings) lol. Good game overall! I got until 58% size! and lost :(

You are right about that, the original concept would be that the skills also has preservation of their respective skills (i.e. fireball multiple times and preserved each time)

Thanks for the kind comment!

Lol the art was really funny xD, good call for the name darwins! I like the aspect that you have to upgrade them each evolution
Though initially I thought there are no controls (then I checked out the actual description), and that makes sense (I have been pressing every button, clicking and never the enter button lol).
I didnt ascend though, it take a bit long time to do, and a bit repetitive! but that maybe just me hehe

Good idea for a nice game!

Really all rounded game! The idea of a tech tree and a leaderboard adds replay value (and a challenge)
The animations, the feedback for the player from the UI is really surprising to see in a short time frame of a Jam! Sadly the content is so little and Id expect to play more of it!

Good job! I really had fun playing the game

This is really innovative! I feel like this game could be quite interesting if polished more(like more ways to entertain, and "act" as if we are really trying to kill the player). Since we can just "one shot" the player in many cases (seems like the player is a rage quitter xD)

I like this concept, Good game!

Hehe, thanks for the compliment! (PS: The shaders arent actually ours though, its from godot shaders :P)
