nice game, I clicked on the options and the game started, i guess.
This game idea is so unique! and really fun too! I had a good 5mins+ of fun with your game, really from the bottom of my heart, Good Game!
This game is so under appreciated! Good job on the really fun game. :D
I'm glad you had fun playing it!
Simple but really nice and funny! Had fun playing it. Great job!
Glad to hear you had fun, thanks for playing!
To quote a member of my Twitch audience: "This was basically the Stanley Parable poopy version". He used a different word, but that's because he ignores my channel is Family Friendly, the scoundrel.
I started playing. A voice started talking. I started becoming really bored. As soon as the game actually started. I walked into a cave. By this point, I had tuned out the nagging voice that was talking to me, I think. I basically turned this voice into my wife's, when she talks about curtains, or something. So, as I was thinking about the fact that my new car is leaking motor oil from the pan (have to replace the gasket), I ordered it, so that's cool, I walked into this cave. And then it was game over.
In all seriousness, hopefully you see how my recounting of my personal thinking about motor oil has nothing to do with the context in question. Therefore I'm boring. That's what I experienced "playing"... waiting on your game.
I'm sure there are people who like this sort of thing. I don't at the best of times. And when it's ostensibly not funny (which I concede is somewhat subjective), I don't at all. It is what it is.
This is my favorite game from this jam. I really like the idea.
Aw thanks! That means a lot considering I felt really unmotivated making this.
This game is totally broken. Not even the main menu was working. Okay the story and humour was really funny. But were is the cake. Everybody knows, that in this kind of games is there a cake, and everybody knows that the cake is a lie. Okay, besides all this nonsense is this a really good jam game. Well done.
For a second there I thought you were being serious with that first sentence aha. Thanks for playing!
Fun game! I especially liked the part where the
wizard destroys the dragon with the meteor spell! Please don't spoil the game for the rest of us ;)
Genuinely funny! I restarted the game to hear the dialogues I missed. Simple but nice, good work!
You started the game from the very beginning? You have my highest gratitude!
I played and rated your Game! I like the Graphics and the Game mechanics are very good! My Game is: https://itch.io/jam/cgj/rate/476937, its called You thought! Check it out!
The narrator is so lovable XD
Don't know if that's a compliment for me or the character I was playing, but thanks!
Oh my god that was so fucking clever!
that beginning was pretty much all I had to work on in terms of an idea aha, thanks!
good job
This game is really very interesting. We had the same idea about our game but we implemented it differently. I really like the voices throughout the game even if I find that there may be a little too many at the beginning, for example when loading the game it's a little too long and it spoils a bit the fun side of the game. But there are some very cool ideas like when you talk to an NPC and it says "insert dialog here". Well done =D
Yeah I felt that a bit too, but also without it the gameI don't think it would have been very long. I would have put a lot more effort into the timing of things if I didn't feel so unmotivated with the theme. But I'm glad you enjoyed it!
it was fun, I'm a little disappointed there doesn't seem to be a good ending from what I played, but I like the voice acting, and it gave me heavy "there is no game" vibes. although I feel the whole idea of "the game is a lie" doesn't work after the game gets loaded back up, even if things are broken its not quite a lie, it is still technically a game (I guess the voice actor was lied to in a way)
I did want to continue with the idea that you never enter the game, but my 3d skills are quite limited and since I was working by myself there was no way I could have got that done in a week. And I really struggled with the theme, this was the best I could come up with. The lie is more in the idea that the game is unfinished and buggy. But thanks for playing and liking it!
Yea, I get what you mean about the theme, it took me a whole day to even decide on what I was doing, but that 3D scene was pretty well made, definitely the highlight in my eyes so it was effective
I actually really like it I would have given it full marks if I had submitted my own entry
