Very fun! And very cool interpretation of bullet hell. I liked how moving the player ship feels (the movement felt very ... boat-y). Visuals and audio are simple but effective. I wish the camera would zoom out a little once you get to a new wave with bigger enemies, or that the easy waves in the beginning would be shorter once you have some upgrades so you don't need to wait as long for the difficult enemies to appear. But that's honestly just nitpicky stuff, you did a really great job :)

Enjoyed the shop system a lot! It really is super satisfying to change up and improve your ship every round! Only point I have is I was a bit confused to keep track on the tank controlled ship while aiming with the mouse and shooting. Hope you develop it further it is an cool game! Gave you a nice rating! If you like to check out our game too! :)

The ship customization is cool, and the graphics are neat and consistent. One thing I think would have helped a lot is different enemy types, it would have added variety to the game. Good job!

This is fun take on the bullet hell, admittedly, giving bullet hell to your enemies. While I had a blast playing, a couple of design points could be taken into consideration: The rerun of the same small enemies and gradually increasing in difficulty got tedious as you were just waiting for something difficult to come along. A better solution would have been to scale the enemies with your DPS and give a kill counter target per round. This was a game over would be meaningful and you would have been the result of your own choices in the shop (consequences). I really enjoyed this and look forward to what you make next!

Thank you so much for your detailed reply and very helpful suggestions!

I have been thinking about making the game a level-design like game instead of a end-less wave game, so the repetition part could be skiped. Probably more randomness and changing in every replay will give the game some better new feelings.

Thank you so much for your suggestions again! They are really thoughtful and helpful!

I just spent soooo much time playing this. Very fun :)

I just love customization in general! Watching your ship from a tiny tug boat to a flagship is very satisfying!

The depth of the ship customisation is great and I'm a big fan of the visual side of things too - the water trail especially!

congrats on finishing the jam!! very cool idea! with a bit of balancing this could be _really_ fun. graphics were simple but consistent and music was nice! controls were a bit odd?

Developer

Thank you for your suggestion! I think the control might be better on the mobile device or handlers. Or a/d for turning left/right instead of aiming left/right.

Making my ship into living bullet hell to decimating enemies was very satisfying experience.

Nice game!

More like bullet heaven!

I can't think of a single thing I don't like about this game. Everythign is just perfect! I've spent almost an hour just becoming an absolute water-behemoth destroying everything on screen like its nothing.

Great job!

Likes:

  • It is fun to build your own ship and fight other ships
  • the sounds are pretty good
  • the ship building UI is great

Dislikes:

  • There isn't a real goal to work towards
  • the game gets very repetitive quickly
  • doesn't really follow the theme
  • the graphics are very bland and repetitive
  • you cant really doge the enemy bullets if this supposed to be a bullet hell

Thank you so much for your suggestions! These are very good points, and I will pay attention to them during next development~
