Pretty challenging game. Definitely so when there's many bullets in such a confined space but still fun all around. I see out the extra health out of bounds on the walls but not sure what triggers them to be reachable so a bit of clarification on that would be nice. I do like the whole retro platform feel to this and the smooth level transition was a nice little touch that I liked. I could tell a lot of work was put into this within 6 days, good job!

thanks for playing, and your comments, the idea behind the bonus life was when you destroy all the guns in a particular area, the extra life should come on the screen but I am new to coding so it is not consistent. I tried to use player prefs to track the number of guns being destroyed and then deactivate the out of bounds robot and activate the one that the player can interact with , but I think that I may have messed up there, because on my play through I realized that the life will sometimes spawn 2 time in the second area

This is pretty impressive for a game jam game. The audio and the visuals are pretty cohesive, and it feels like a fairly complete experience. Some very classic bullet hell patterns coming out of those enemies, too!
I did have some trouble controlling the main character (the controls felt a little 'floaty') but I think that's mostly on me, because I'm not too good at this type of game. It all works pretty well. Good work!
Wow, this game is surprisingly good! I died at the boss a few times and couldn't get any further, so I don't know if I saw all of the game. Either way, the animations, especially on the player character, are super well done. I also enjoyed each enemy design, although that floating one felt a bit too difficult to dodge. Overall a very fun submission, but quite difficult for me.
Love the voice over at the beginning :), don't quite know what the last bit says though after "before you get notice." But very kool and fun :).
Difficulty level is a little tricky come the second scene. Kept dying after many retries :(, so didn't get to see as much of the game as i'd like.
But great job on putting this all together in only 6 days, Well done!
There is a lot of content here for the time of the jam, so great work! Felt kind of like a Megaman game!

thanks for your comments , yeah I know the theme was not the strongest part to the game, I tried to use the bullets as a way to confine , "restrict " the players movement but hey. then last min I got the confined bonus life aspect ... hey check out the dev log I made if you want to see my process while making it !
It was super hard but I kept retrying over and over again! I think the only thing I wasn't a fan of was the button mapping, but it wasn't too difficult to get used to. Great job dude. Really fun! I watched your devlog series, it was cool to play it after seeing your process!
I really liked this game, it looks good sounds good and is fun to play. The only thing I don't like is that the movement feels a bit stiff, but overall a very solid submission.
I actually think the controls feel perfect in the flying section, I think that the controls in the other section feel so stiff because of the ducking. When you duck you can't move, and also sometimes it just wont duck once I press down. I think that it has something to do with your animation, maybe it lets the other animation finish before it starts ducking.
The graphics look beautiful! The gameplay feels a little bit joinky but after some platforming it is pretty intuitive. It would also help to have a little bit faster firing rate.
Apart from that, this is a pretty solid game! And it is pretty big for a jam game.

I watched your devlog videos and it was interesting to see your approach with the whole cuphead meets celeste game idea.
my main gripe is that the game feels quite hard, and i feel it is mostly due to enemy placement compared to the fact that your character can only shoot foward, being able to aim in 8 directions could already help a lot on that since you wouldn't require tricky jumping shots to reach certain targets.
With that said the game is still fun, the character moves nicely the camera is smooth and i like the colored lighting effects, combined with the creative itterations on your asset pack, as showcased in your devlog.

I like the graphics and stuff. Concept's pretty interesting. and so is the plot.
The problem is the game doesn't feel very fair overall. The player moves too slowly and has too large of a hitbox to easily dodge enemy bullets, and the bullets also feel like they do too much damage to the player. The duck mechanic also isn't helpful because you can't duck in the boss section. It feels like you just take damage for no reason sometimes.
I also don't like having to restart the entire game every time I lose all my lives. I understand the checkpoint system was glitchy, but not having it still made the game not very fun. Also, for some reason in the boss section I couldn't turn around?
Overall, still a good game, it just needs a lot more polish.

Really fun game, but it's really hard without checkpoints.
The letter J is a little bit uncomfortable for shooting, maybe you could use Q, E or F instead, so you can play with one hand.
Otherwise really good job!
Thanks for playing and your suggestions , I was a console gamer before I started making games, so I am not used to the Keyboard buttons but I am learning I did have a check point but it kept bugging out and i could not figure out how to fix it in time . the game is really short too it only has 3 sections, the tutorial the platforming and the bullet hell it can be beaten in under 5 minutes i am working on a play through video for my final dev log vid
