Thanks for checking it out. I would love to hear what confused you at first. We would love to improve.

Hi DeeRaghoo, thanks for checking it out, we really appreciate it! Glad you liked the blackhole.

Interesting mechanics on a classic like a side-scroller. Fantastic work and loves the retro feel. I do think that the animations and controls could use a little bit of smoothing.

Great work!

I love this mechanic. Its a refreshing take on bullethell and its such a new mechanic that I can really feel myself getting better throughout the game. Sometimes the enemies would snap to a random position which was a little offputting. Otherwise great game. Well done! :)

Very fun concept. I think this was an interesting take on the theme. I think this game could use some faster stopping with the player's controls and maybe a tighter hitbox.

It was a very fun bullethell and solid entry. Goodjob :)

Hi! Thanks for your feedback. I agree and with every point you made and plan to improve. Thanks for taking the time to check it out :)

I think that this fit the theme very well. The music was great for the style you were going for. I think the controls and firing felt nicely polished and balanced for the speed of hostile projectiles.

Fun and creative! With bullets added in, this was certainly a unique entry into the game. I loved that the music made me feel like a rat in a maze. I would only say that tightening up the controls would make it a little more approachable.

Fun game! Tanks are awesome! really enjoyed this game. I think it would be great to have some way to heal (did I miss it?). It also seemed like environment kills counted towards your score/wave clearing. Maybe that's intentional, but it felt like you could cheat at the game by just letting them all kill themselves haha

Great entry! :)

I totally see it! Thanks for finding it for me!

Thanks for stopping by! Interesting! Any chance you know what that game is anymore? I'm curious to check it out, I thought we were pretty original X)

Hi Gamerblook23! Thanks for stopping by. In our next project, we plan to fix the music, so thank you for your feedback on this. Currently, it ramps up as the game goes on. Thanks for taking the time to stop by! :)

Hi SpiceyCatto! Thanks so much! I'm glad you enjoyed it. I am beginning work on a successor to this game and we plan to have a proper progression system. Stay tuned for a post about that :)

No worries, dude! :) Its just important that you turned something in and grew from it.

Hi Billbobphil, I'm glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for taking the time to play it and stop by to give it a review! We're quite proud of the blackhole mechanic.

HiTyrant, I really appreciate you taking the time to review our game. I'm glad you liked it.

Im sorry the darker bullets are hard to see. They actually glow white, but we last-minute swapped to webgl and it broke the visuals of that bullet x)

Thank you though!

This game started out slow but the gun powerups felt GREAT. I liked how forgiving the healing was and the healthbar. I think the bullets were just about right and looked great.

Fantastic work!

This game is a great entry. The store is a pretty cool addition. I did feel like the character was a little slow for how fast the bullets were. This made it hard to dodge sometimes.

Good work! :)

Very easy to learn and engaging mechanic because its unique. Cool take on a ball-and-chain style mechanic. The projection before shooting makes it feel great. It think this game would benefit from some bullet designs not just randomness. If there were, say an arch or row of bullets, I could get off some sick combos.

Great work!

Great approach to the theme. I think the bullet patterns were very clean and felt great to dodge. I felt like I could get good at the game without having to be lucky.

Well done! :)

Oh man! I'm so glad you liked it! :) Thanks for taking the time to check it out! We are proud of the number of mechanics we could fit in.

That was fantastic! I loved it. It felt very polished. Particularly with the gentle tracking on the beam (I think?). Very cute and stylized. Well done. An underrated entry for sure!

That's a super interesting take on a side-scroller bullet-hell. I liked it a lot and it felt like you took a lot of care in adjusting the difficulty to fit the format well. I also think that thee was good feedback on all hits/reflections. Very satisfying. Great work!

Great work! Those controls felt great and I loved the ability to store and rapid-fire shots. The sound and music were perfect for this game. I would highly suggest some ability to zoom out. Perhaps with a scrollwheel. It felt like I didn't have time to react from bullets that come up from the bottom.

Great entry though, well done!

Thanks! :) It was definitely a grind to get it all there, but we had a great team of people that worked so fast! Thank you for the feedback!

Very smooth retro feel. I really liked the style and the audio brought me back to my childhood :P

It is certainly very hard. I like very hard but this feels very unforgiving. HOWEVER, with the frequent save feature, it created a very learnable experience and I really liked that. Felt like it would make me better at all bullet hells. Great job!

I'm glad you liked it. We are proud of our enemy design and worked hard on it. Thanks a lot! :)

Thank you for your compliment :)

Hi Kalinka, thanks you for the feedback, I would love to know what felt clunky about the controls. Others have said its the movement. Is this what you experienced?

I'm glad you enjoyed it! Thanks :)

This was pretty hard! I liked that and gave it a higher score because of it. Fun and fantastic integration with the music. I just wanted to play more for the music XD Would be cool if there was a score or hp that went down instead of instantly losing.

What a super cool idea! I loved it. Almost got to the point where I could afk the birds with rotators. I would like to see some sort of healing though, that would be cool.

Great submission!

Hi Nordic, I will check yours out now! Thanks for taking the time to review ours. I got a lot of feedback saying the self-damage was bad or just a bit too strong and is something we will look into changing in the future. Thanks so much! :)

Hey! That's okay. It kinda feels intentional. It totally matches the completely chaotic vibes of the rest of the game. As weird as it sounds, it feels cohesive with other parts ahah

That was trippy! 5/5 for creativity. I loved it. I would say that the bullet patterns could use some more variation for 1-on-1 parts. Super cool entry. Good job!

Great game! Monkeys seems to really be "in" right now. I enjoyed your game and the death animations made me smile. I would say that the aiming could be improved a little bit. Larger projectiles would feel more forgiving and it does feel like the reticle is a little bit off from where the bullets are travelling to in some cases.

Otherwise, great entry!

Interesting entry. I would say that it could try to fit the theme better, but otherwise, its a fun and challenging game.

Fun retro goodness! I liked it. It fit the theme well and I liked the lives system. I do think its a little cheesable. If you just stay a little bit infront of the turret, the bullets never catch you.

Great entry, good work! :)

Wow! Underrated entry! I loved the sound and the music. The player's controls felt great and the hitbox felt just about right. I LOVED that you could hold shift to slow. I didn't notice in the first level that there was no hit sound, but in the second level, I could tell if I was doing any damage to the ghost that sections off the map. A hit sound would have been great. Overall, great entry.

Entertaining entry. Good fit for the them. I feel like some of the projectiles move a little too fast and the audio is a little loud, but great work!

Fun entry! Fits the theme well. It was a little loud and repetitive, but great work, I will enjoy my tuna dinner.
